The club abandoned the fans when they moved to Northants. Crewe next week will be my last game of the season. Not sure if I will bother next year, we are a sham of a club on a continued decline with owners that don't care. The AFC option I think will hsppen over the next few years.

As I say, you go ahead. Supporting a club like City is a test of character, this is our biggest test.

completely agree, but surely our support isn't necessary? SISU/TF have said they will cover the losses, and we as fans can not influence a return to Coventry?

It's a temporary abandonment Samo, just like the temporary move.

I'm not just talking about stadium support, I'm talking about maintaining your allegiance, continuing to care, talking about the club, campaigning, keeping the spirit alive if you like, in the hope of better times. Not just throwing in the towel and not even bothering to follow results! Hate the owners if you like but the club is more than that and will be here (in some form or another) long after they have gone.

Actually its a choice and its a sport, it should be entertaining and bring enjoyment and loyalty works both ways. My loyalty as a 50 year customer has been disregarded so basically they have deserted me.

but would an AFC Coventry be the CCFC we all love? IMO, no

just to clarify, I'll never stop supporting them until they cease to exist.

I'd say instructing people to wind their neck in is a little superior. But if you think I was being superior you are not helping to correct that.

it is heart breaking to know that we can not do anything. we've tried protest marches, protests at the arsenal games, petitions....

that's why yesterday when we were singing TSBS and twist and shout, I made the most of it

include me in those who are not, I would jump at the chance to support a new representative team for my home town. I love and have love Coventry City with all my heart, my money, time and thoughts and if I felt our supporters were united in taking down these bastards I would get on a plane and join them but its apologists and fence dwellers that have make it so easy for them and for me share some responsibility for our plight, however slight.

Although let's be honest, if you really weren't bothering to follow results, you wouldn't be bothering to log into a CCFC forum to tell people you weren't either.

My problem is I can't properly enjoy when the club does well this season because of how much I hate our owners and what we've become, we're the bad guys, the way the club has treated the fans is a disgrace, the way the club has treated the players is a disgrace, the way the club has treated those they owe money to is a disgrace, the clubs actions towards those who disagree with them is a disgrace, the way the club has treated charities and the academy is a disgrace, the clubs actions in so many ways disgust me. Moving to Northampton, threatening to sue fans, the bomb squad, the outright barefaced lies, I could go on and on.

So when we do well I'm completely conflicted, when we do badly I'm completely conflicted. I just want sisu gone, then the club can have my money again, then they can have my attendance, my passion, my support. I simply can't be proud of us at the moment, sure I can be proud of Pressley and some of the squad but thats not enough with so much on the otherside that I'm ashamed of.

I'm trying to hold onto my anger so that I stay engaged and so the interest is there to help pick up the pieces when sisu toss us into the gutter for the final time and stick their last boot in.

My plan for next season if still in Northampton is not to attend any matches. They will still be my team and I will listen on radio if in CWR area.

Simply responding to your usual needless and pointless comment. If you have nothing to say, sometimes best to say nothing, but then I guess this forum is your life

I think Nick runs an excellent forum, and the abuse he sometimes has to contend with is unacceptable, particularly these last few posts. I imagine he doesn't want to close this thread as some people will use it against him, but I think this has gone off topic.

I agree. Whilst I don't agree with many of his opinions, I appreciate that running a forum like this is a thankless task and it should be remembered that he has a difficult job to do.

I guess I'm just a bit old fashioned, as I tend to think that on a Sunday any talk of people having cocks in their mouths should be left until after Antiques Roadshow has finished.

What is it with all these fickle fans? I mean when we were flying high we were packing Shitfields out with 7,000 roaring devotees and thousands more outside desperate to get in...just like TF said there would be. A few dodgy results and the glory hunters desert us in their droves. I have lost a lot of interest because this no longer feels like my club...it's been taken away from me, not the other way around. All things CCFC were a major part of my life but just recently there's been occasions when I didn't even know we were playing...if someone like me can lose interest then anyone can. The club won't be dead to me though until the day when the possibility of returning to my home city again is lost forever.

Would ditto this and Samo I think you are not understanding some of the sentiment of many fans. CCFC are my club and will always be my club, but this season I have stopped listening to the radio (having listened previously to just about every away game for 20 years or more) and have indeed fogotten we are playing on at least 2 occasions too.

The fact the club has been taken away from us to play games 35 miles away automatically creates a disenfranchisement from fans. People like me don't go to away games simply because we can't due to other commitments and we therefore are not seeing our club play at all in any format other than fleetingly on TV.

I will always love this club, but at the moment it just feels a million miles away from me. And many I'm sure feel exactly the same.

I wouldn't say the club are dead to me, but if I wanted to support a team from the comfort of my living room I wouldn't choose Coventry. I've quite enjoyed going to Cov Rugby on a Saturday this season, but I'd be straight back if we were at the Ricoh.

Well that's me too. Season tickets for more years than I care to remember. The minute we are back at the Ricoh I will be first in line for a ST once again. At the moment though, at times, it just doesn't quite feel like my club and that's a real travesty.

Otis, you seem to be saying that unless you attend your interest wanes and I just can't relate to that! You are telling me you 'love' the club but you don't care if they win or lose. (Well not enough to command your attention at least.)

Great another thread from the super fans attacking other fans. Shout at people if you want, but it's not them that are killing the club. They are simply rational actors in this farce. Everyone has a breaking point, complaining that someone else's is not the same as yours is more gold star Superfan bullshit.

Those with CCFC tattooed on their bollocks need to realise that they are not the majority and the need the so called casuals to avoid being a hardcore fan of a non-league team with 1k fans.

You want to shout at someone for people losing interest, try the business geniuses who moved us 35 miles from our fan base.

Of course I care if we win or lose. It just does't hold the same excitement for me though when we win. When we win I smile, whereas normally I would be jumping up and down and dancing round the living room. When we lose it just doesn't hurt like it used to either. Previously pretty much every loss would spoil my whole weekend or evening. That's how passionate I have been about the club.

The club have been everything to me. A week of a home game would have me counting the days to kick off with much anticipation and excitement. Well I simply cannot get excited about a home game I can't go to. I have always gone. Always. Man and boy and CCFC have been such an enornmous part of my life.

To me the whole thing is surreal. I have always gone and suddenly I'm not going anymore. Well that has had a tremendous impact on me. I now have had to find other things to do on a weekend and now when I am doing those things it can result in my forgetting we even have a game on. Doesn't help of course with this Saturday/Sunday constant switching either mind.

Anyone who knows me would never ever question my loyalty to Coventry City FC.

Otis, I think the majority of fans can relate to that, it's a shame that some can't.
