Robins leaving was a blessing in disguise?
we'd just lost to crewe and yeovil successively
we'd began to run out of ideas of how to score with 1 up front
we couldn't defend to save our lives!
Teams looked as though they'd finally begun to suss us out

so maybe had robins have stayed, a slope in form may have been approaching anyway?

i dunno about that

we need to remember how close we were to beating crewe and yeovil. a bit of luck and noone would doubt robins

he was a good manager...a dick...but a good manager and i fear we will miss him in our final 13 games

it might be worth keeping carsley till end of season now just to make sure we dont mess with a formation that clearly suits the players and lets just hope stability and minor tweaks is enough to get us top 6 and possibly promotion

we can look for long term successor if that does not work in the summer

I think you have a point here, in terms of Carsley. Saturday showed us alot - in terms of, I know Bury arent exactly a force in this division but Carsley has been around to see what formations, tactics, strengths, etc......exist within the squad that we have. Hopefully he can keep using that in the ways that have been working and the team should continue to perform. That seemed to be the case on Saturday.

At this stage of the season we cant really afford to have a manager come in and take two or three games to implement a new system or a way of playing.

There seems to be quite a few that think we should get a new manager in sooner rather than later, i don't agree with that, maybe Carsley should be manager untill the summer.
by which time there may be some better options that are available to us now, none of which seem very exciting at all.
the last thing we need is to appoint another no hoper, Coleman, Boothroyde, Reid, Adams to name few that seem to me to be given contracts a little too hastily.

also another good point. none of the current candidates really inspire me with a great deal of excitement - perhaps the options may be a bit better by the summer.

well we still had 15 attempts on target saturday, and put 2 of them away.
so nothing has changed on that score. But keeping clean sheets is what is needed between now and May
