I emailed Andy Turner re remarks made about the FA meeting to agree the new seasons fixture list, see below extract;

"Does this mean we are working towards the same 2nd June deadline to prove we have the means to fulfill our fixtures next year?

What happens if we are still in limbo, like now?

This was the reply;

"Thanks Brian, I will look into it although it seems a bit odd that the FL would hold their AGM on a Saturday, not to mention Jubilee weekend.

The date may well be wrong though."

I would have thought that with us in the limbo state we are in the first thing any reporter on the Sky Blues would have established is, what do the powers that be have as a deadline/penalty, if we still have not submitted assurances re financing the new season by the time they have to set up the fixtures.

I watched a TV programme about how they worked the fixtures and there is quite a lot involved so I imagine they need a couple of weeks so the deadline would work out about right with the fixtures due out on June 18th.

We can be expelled from the League if they're not convinced we can fulfil our fixtures-and our continued failure to submit accounts will raise question marks.

And SISU are playing hardball do not really care about us and only want a way out were they can recover some of their money (ARVO Liquidation?).
I hope we do not go the way of Darlington FC, see below:

The Football Association effectively relegated the Quakers four divisions on Friday because members of Darlington FC 1883 (DFC 1883) had been unable to secure the club’s official licence from former chairman Raj Singh.

The Pompey situation will probably help us. by the meeting they will most likely still be in admin with only enough funds to last a few weeks and also haven't filed their accounts yet have apparently been told they won't be deducted points or thrown out of the league. If that's true (was reported in the local paper down here) then I can't see how they can throw us out.

Funny how the Telegraph no nothing, but the Portsmouth local rag printed this on May 9th.

Mr Birch said he is doing all he can to conclude a deal before the Football League’s annual meeting on May 31 and June 1 and is working with the authority to see if a buyer can be in place before a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) is agreed to bring the club out of administration.

Unless the league are aware of our situation, I'm sure member of the club will give enough spin/bullshit/stories* (*deleated as appropriate) at this meeting to tell the league we will be playing next season.

How far the League are prepared to investigate? If they are anything like the telegraph we have nothing to worry about:facepalm:

apparently the meeting is 31st May and 1st June in Portugal ............ wonder if KD will be hovering around it

Why do they need to spend money on a jolly in Portugal ?

It's to inspect the hotels they'll be sending Pompey on for their pre season tour.

For the past 5 seasons, at least 2 (and usually 3-4) sides have escaped relegation from the 3 Blue Square divisions due to other clubs being relegated for off the field financial matters. Northwich Victoria managed to go down twice in 2 years then miss the play-offs this year thanks to points penalties!

Sorry for the geekiness, my user name does have a double-meaning

Ironically Hinckley aren't in great shape themselves, I was speaking to one of their players and they haven't been paid for months!

Regular occurrence for Hinckley, that is. It's almost like they kinda need to go down as they can't afford to play at that level. God knows how they've survived as many years as they have in the BSN, Leamington are miles bigger!

Incidentally, I was speaking to someone last week who knows someone at CCFC (don't want to name names) who said they haven't been paid for about 4 months either!

I would have thought we'd have heard about that before now if staff were not paid for that long. Are you talking about players? Backroom staff? Office staff? Can anyone confirm that?
