No SISU fan but equally I was wondering that ACL by not signing the CVA (and getting 590k back by the way)they forced a -10 point penalty on the football club and as Otium now control the club and what was CCFC (Ltd) together with Holdings under the SISU banner it would suggest they achieved nothing but lose cash and confine City to a struggle again this season to stay up.

Am I missing something?...should I be in love with ACL?

Yes. You're missing the fact that the club isn't liquidated yet, that an investigation is due and that Sisu rejected ACLs best offer.

You're also missing the fact that ACL would have exactly zero ability to do any of this had the club paid their bills on time.

You're also missing the ability to distinguish between being balanced and being contrarian.

I don't really think they have achieved anything, other than to annoy SISU, and I guess that's worth more to them than anything else such is the pathetic and childish manner with which all sides seem to conduct themselves. The tit for tat statements in the media in recent days have been an appalling spectacle.

It's a valid question though, even if you do question the motives behind it. Would the club (the fans) be better off had the CVA been signed? I suspect so, because not only would we not have had 10 points deducted, the prospect of agreement over a return to the Ricoh would have been a bit more likely. Oh, but we have the much heralded 'investigation', the nature of which has not been explained to anyone with much clarity and which probably would have happened in some form or other had the CVA been agreed.

In some respects SISU are better off - they will still have full control of the club and now don't have to part with £600,000 (equivalent to about 2500 season tickets at Sixfields).

Fisher did say: Acl were worried Sisu would put the club into liquidation, yet it was Acl who ended putting club/part of into the blender!

The club apparently welcome the investigation so here is hoping it brings skeletons out of numerous closets

The point is they did not make an offer (of 150k and a sliding scale) to SISU at all so SISU did not reject such a bid?
I'm not trying to be contrarian shimeee just stating what has actually happened. The majority on here are very choosey with the facts they wish to believe.
Just trying to understand why ACL did not sign off the CVA in the best interest of all. It doesn't matter about what's gone on, it matters about the here and now aspect. ACL's statement says they want the football club in Coventry at the Ricoh? Funny way of going about it then. It's not taking sides it's just looking at what is.

Best interest of all? ACL are obliged to act in the best interests of their owners, not the best interests of tenants that don't want to pay their bills. I believe that they do want the club in Coventry, but not at any cost to themselves - they still have to run as a going concern. Signing the CVA was clearly in the best interests of Sisu, as it would given them complete control of the club whilst writing off millions in debt. By not signing, the contract between Ltd and ACL is still in effect until Sisu choose to liquidate, at which point there can be an investigation into whether anything criminal occurred in transferring assets away from the business before attempting to wind it up.

Now we wait and see if Sisu really are prepared to liquidate, and deal with the investigations that they claim to welcome.

It's early days yet, unfortunately this has quite away to go yet, their rejection of the CVA and the reasons for it will become obvious over the few months.

Wasn't the offer made to JS at the secret meeting and we now know what her reply was to it?

ACL did want the football club at the Ricoh and made a generous offer that would have made financial sense to the club compared to the Sixfield option but it was rejected. It seems that SISU decided instead to jump off the cliff edge whilst putting up two fingers to ACL and the fans.
