Found these a couple of weeks ago, the punk stuff reminds me of SoftPlay (formerly Slaves) but they're generally a bit more varied. They're playing up here tomorrow so might head down.

Can highly recommend, was a great gig. Lots of energy, sounded great and got involved with the crowd.

They're playing in Digbeth on Saturday which was my original plan seeing as I'm down for the game, will probably still go (outfit colour dependant on result...)

Currently listening to Leonard Cohen's "Old Ideas" album. I know he's not everybody's taste, but I am a big fan. Great song writer.

Good channel, and a good vid. First two B52 albums were an influence on so much good stuff. Love 'em!

a poet reading beat-inspired stuff over music that's like Floyd if they swapped LSD and getting old for weed and coffee. Enablers are an underrated band.

Caught The Wedding Present live this week- a band that had previously passed me by but they were great. Did a retrospective set in reverse order, newer stuff easily as strong as the 'classics'. Some of it was a lot heavier than I was expecting too, more like MBV circa 'Isn't Anything' than just typical 80s jangle. Got their Albini produced album 'Seamonsters' afterwards, very decent indeed.

Also supported by the Loft, so I got to see 'Up the Hill and Down the Slope' live, which I never thought would happen.
