Has it got better, then?Golden Cross
Yes, definitely.Has it got better, then?
I don't recall it being that bad in there, sounds gruesome! although it's been some years since I used to go upstairs to have a pint on a Friday night, I just remember it being a bit sticky underfoot...Hmm, will have to give it a go then. Always used to be one of my favourites, but got a bit bored being served pints of piss, with only me and my mate in the building!
Last year (or two?) before being taken over, it seemed everyone deserted the place!I don't recall it being that bad in there, sounds gruesome! although it's been some years since I used to go upstairs to have a pint on a Friday night, I just remember it being a bit sticky underfoot...
Come down to the Three Horseshoes next door to the fire station. We are a friendly bunch in there, and the beer is usually good.Coming down on Friday and fancied trying somewhere different to have a few beers out of the centre, I've never been to the Wheatsheaf but I understand that's where a lot of Cov fans go, what are the other pubs like on Foleshill Road ?
In fact any pubs in Cov in general worth going for a pint ? Don't really fancy two days sat at the bar in the Casino
Cheers
It was open on Saturday. That's where we parked for the Exeter match.RAOB or 'The Buffs' - Unsure if still open

Some regulars in there are now drinking in the Horseshoes.I asked on Saturday why ? They said its to do with the trouble in there v Northampton, said the pub owners or something didn't back our fans properly. It was open on Saturday. That's where we parked for the Exeter match.
You might even get to meet Juggy! The Devon is busy in Wyken, you can get the bus from Tesco (703 I think) and it drops you right outside.
You won't get a word in though !You might even get to meet Juggy!

Sounds a bit like Quids Inn. Was in there a few months back and ordered 3 double rum and cokes for me and my two mates. The person behind the bar opened a brand new bottle of rum and poured it in. When I went back to the table and started drinking it, it was 100% Whiskey. My other friends thought the same too.
Weird.
Gringos, down by the Campbell?
Back in the day they used to hate you around there if you weren't a student.
Student Id was always one for the bouncersIn my experience it was never that bad, certainly worse these days with 'Strictly only a students venue' nonsense. The Campbell itself was very student orientated but doesn't as bad now.
