If it was possible and you could see one act at next years Godiva who would it be ? It has to be an act still going and likely to still be around next year. It can be a band,or a solo performer, and no matter how big they are they will headline the show. For me it has to be Metallica.
Go on then pick your one !

Or Stereophonics / Arctic Monkeys as above. Not sure if they would be too big though

Yes they would be decent. Arctic Monkeys are one of the last ones to tick off my list along with Oasis.

I stopped going to the Godiva couple of years back! Too many hard man wannabee 14 year olds there that ruin the atmosphere! My stance was cemented by a youth being battered with a brick during a mass brawl and a 16 year old being arrested for carrying a machete!! Like, WTF?!?!

So for that reason my headline would be somebody really shit like the cheeky girls.
Imagine if say, Foo Fighters headlined and I didn't go because of dick heads! At least I don't give a shit about missing Rick Astley!

Basically the council were offered Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2011 and turned it down as they claimed it would cost them £140K (the actual figure later turned out to be £50K) so it went to Carlisle instead. Their council said it generated £1.7m for the local economy.

Yeah, good shout, but I think they are completely done and dusted. KraftworK, Depeche Mode, Eels or Devo!!!

I know a mate of mine who flew over to the States just to see Devo. Totally just a flying visit, in and out.

I was dead jealous.

Terrorvision would be nice but I don't think it's the original line up any more which is a shame. Been listening to their best of album all day and can't for the life of me work out why they were not bigger than they were.

Was just listening to their new live album on the drive back to work and thinking they'd be good. Only change is a different drummer.

Imagine the trouble if Stone Roses and Oasis were on. People pretending to be Liam Gallagher starting fights with everyone!
