Typical. Been wanting that to come to Cov for years. It was the Radio 1 Big Weekend but the Council turned it down.
Basically the council were offered Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2011 and turned it down as they claimed it would cost them £140K (the actual figure later turned out to be £50K) so it went to Carlisle instead. Their council said it generated £1.7m for the local economy.Explain?
Don't worry about the foo fighters and Arctic Monkeys, we would much rather watch a bunch of washed up has beens:emoji_rolling_eyes:Basically the council were offered Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2011 and turned it down as they claimed it would cost them £140K (the actual figure later turned out to be £50K) so it went to Carlisle instead. Yeah, good shout, but I think they are completely done and dusted. KraftworK, Depeche Mode, Eels or Devo!!!Predictions : Grendel - Marillion.
Houch - Bob Dylan.
Otis - XTC.
Yes XTC are long gone sadly. They should get together just for the Godiva !Yeah, good shout, but I think they are completely done and dusted. KraftworK, Depeche Mode, Eels or Devo!!!
I know a mate of mine who flew over to the States just to see Devo. Totally just a flying visit, in and out.
I was dead jealous.
Was just listening to their new live album on the drive back to work and thinking they'd be good. Only change is a different drummer.Terrorvision would be nice but I don't think it's the original line up any more which is a shame.
Imagine the trouble if Stone Roses and Oasis were on. People pretending to be Liam Gallagher starting fights with everyone!I'm going to be greedy here:
Friday Night........The Stone Roses
Saturday Night.........Oasis
Sunday Night...........Pink Floyd
And with each other:banghead:Imagine the trouble if Stone Roses and Oasis were on. People pretending to be Liam Gallagher starting fights with everyone!
