Yesterday we gave a Blackburn fan a lift to the game and before the game we went to talk to the stewards at the away end to see what they did we the away fans after the game. He told us that they are let outside and held in a pen until the carparks are empty but they can walk to the footpath to get out if they want. After the game we went to find the Blackburn fan to find the road around the ground blocked off despite home & away fans clearly walking together on the path under the bridge to carpark c. The only Blackburn fans left in the holding area were those getting on the coaches. Who in their right mind decides that we should block off roads & stop home fans squeezing through the fence by the bridge to get to the path when the 2 sets of fans are walking along with no sign of trouble? I know this won't always be the case, eg Leicester or Stoke, but we clearly had roads blocked & stewarded for no reason at all.
We go to loads of away games and there's none of the nonsense we have to deal with at the CBS. There's no other ground that inconveniences home fans as much as the CBS.

My point is that you can't walk past the roadblock to get past the away fans but the away fans can join the path with the home fans. The fans are OK to meet on the footpath but not near the stadium & if, like yesterday, there is no history of trouble between the home & away fans then home fans are being diverted for no reason.

Given you a like as largely I agree, but don't forget Derby, it's horrendous, possibly worse. Luton poor too, but i think that's down to positioning rather than closures.

Dont find Derby too bad. They don't force you to exit in a different direction. Luton too, is fine. Depends on where you park. Hull is worst away for sending you off away from the ground.

Safety over reach by the authorities, it may be subbed to individual corporate bodies but my that is view here, they're not benign, nothing is , sorry I'm getting worse but maybe more accurate in my older age.
