Still the season isn't over yet with the final Championship match at Wembley deciding who goes up to the promised land.

It doesn't really matter to CCFC at this stage whether Swansea or Reading are the victors the point is that this league must be one of the most attractive and exciting outside of the Premiership.

The reward for the eventual top three winners of this marathon league defy belief varying between £40m-£50m for promotion, dependent on which newspaper one reads, plus the parachute payments if relegated. On top of that is the inevitable increased revenue through the turnstiles that accompany premiership football.

All in all we all start with a clean sheet next season with 24 teams dreaming of what might be including our ever improving Sky Blues.

All I can say is bring it on AT, seize the season by the scruff of the neck and take us to that promised land - can't wait for August.

PUSB.

PL is worth masively more than £40m from what I've read it's closer to £100m.

Without the additional fans through the turnstile, associated merchandise, extra sponsorship charges etc there is £37m in the pay-out for the bottom team in the Premiership this year, rising for each place. Then there is £12 for four seasons parachute payments guaranteed too, so that's a minimum £75m just from that deal alone.

As you say it does "defy belief" and is why so many gamble and seem to care not if they go bust trying assuming it will be someone else's problem

That's £85 million Rob!

I've also heard it's nearer £100 million for going up though.
