Amazing day. Lots of cov on the train from Southampton at 9am. We came from all directions to show what we are and what we can do as fans. Lets fill the Ricoh for the Walsall game and let SISU know we are up for the fight!!

Fabulous day topped off by actually winning the Shitatrade trophy. Just one thing, couldn't believe how many Cov fans were smoking dope at the fanzone. The old bill must have turned a blind eye coz Stevie Wonder would have detected it!

What an absolutely fantastic day and one I'll never forget, being able to share the occasion with my best friends and my family all at wembley together with the rest of you 43,000+ lot is something very special. Just really hope this is some kind of catalyst to kick start the club and build a foundation for more days like this.

Safe to say, I've phoned in sick for work today

Truly stunning day.

The Green Man was incredible. Non-stop sing song along with many, many flares. Got in there before 10 and there were already 20 min queues for beer. Loved the ladies walking around with bottles of spirits.

Atmosphere in the ground was a lot better than I thought it would be. The noise from In Our Coventry Homes made the hairs on my neck stand.

Well done Coventry fans, did ourselves proud today.

Walking out of Wembley Park Station and being hit with a sea of sky blue colours was amazing. I had a couple of Gooners and a Manure fan and they couldn't believe the atmosphere when we got into the stadium. Then on to the Green Man full of banter and stories, high fives and an irrelevant PL match in the background. Our fans were amazing!!! And my voice is hoarse!!! SHMMEEE after the rough time you have had I'm glad you had what sounds like the perfect 'father and daughter time' . She's never going to forget that moment. Love to all our sky blues fans and players for that extraordinary day.

Went with my 7 and 10 year old daughters. The looks on their faces when they walked into the stadium was worth the travel from Yorkshire alone.
Met up with the lads I used to go home and away with 20+ years ago, which was superb.
Here's a new record for City, we made that much of a roar when the second goal went in, my 7 year old burst into tears because she 'felt it boom inside her tummy'. Thats some noise to make a human cry.

Just a great day with a massive feeling of pride in our club.

Your description of the noise and the look on the kids face really sums it up for me Bumberclart.

My son is 16 now and like most of 16 year olds is rarely off his phone or shows great interest in much. He absolutely loved it, the look on his face when we went to our seats was a picture and both me and him were shaking at the end with pure joy and pride. My daughter who is 11 just loved it all the noise, the atmosphere and everything.

I took my mum as well, a former season ticket holder. She couldn't come with me and my dad in 87, and now my dad has gone, I wanted to take her with us to enjoy the day, and in memory of my dad. She absolutely loved it and was out of her seat with the best of them shouting and singing. It was just amazing. My dad was with us in spirit!

What will help as opposed to 87 is having instant access to pictures and videos from my phone, which we didn't have back in the day in 87. What a day!

That really sums it up.

I was chatting to my son at the end and he was saying how much more we appreciate it than the big clubs who go every season and win everything. This really meant something to us all, and it was fantastic.

Sorry if anyone has mentioned this here or elsewhere, but did anyone else see that the Wembley arch was lit up sky blue (well, turquoise / laser blue, anyway!) after the game?

Took this at about 20 to 9 last night.

Sorry for poor image, this was taken from a moving tube train after having had a few beers!

I wish I had time to “like” every post, apart from the boxer shorts obviously.

One of my favourite days ever for a dozen reasons, and a real privilege to be there.

About 5 minutes after the first goal, around 7 or 8 cov fans turned up in block 548 to sit in our row. As they came past they said they'd accidentally ended up in the Oxford end, and didn't realise until they were the only ones celebrating the goal.
Gave us all a good laugh.

It was a wonderful day.

Drove down with the family, parked up on a guys drive minutes from Wembley. Everyone excited about the match and the atmosphere. Soaked it up a bit outside, then went into the ground. Very impressed with Wembley. Seats were spacious, and drink holder as well.. Luxury

The match was good, but the atmosphere was amazing. The win was a bonus.

Bit of a crawl getting back on the A40/M40, but expected that. Passed a van/minibus with a Coventry flag completely across the back window and gave them a toot. Everyone happy. Very special day

Tin Pot Cup? The attendance and atmosphere would suggest not.

It was amazing how many people were still not back from half time by the time George scored the second. There was a bunch of know-it-all types in the row in front of us (528, row 8) who missed it cos they were obviously more bothered about stuffing their faces!

Couldn't get a ticket in '87, so this was my cup final. What a day!

Was just a class day, seeing the numbers of city fans everywhere, bumping into old friends, couldn't get in any boozers as all too packed so found off licence and got myself 8 cans for 20 quid. Played football just outside the fans zone. Atmosphere brilliant, oxford fans very gracious before and after. Was just a top top day that I was priveledged to be part of.

A brilliant day out made for me by my 15 year old son's reaction to the first goal, tears in his eyes It literally knocked the stuffing out of him. Also my cousins wife spending most of the first half cancelling all his cards after losing his wallet, only to find it on the seat of the coach when we got back. All in all a great day for us all but mostly for the younger fans who have grown up in the era of plastic premier league fans taking the piss at school. Finally the words of my son on the coach home when he told me he is "sky blue through and through".

Great crack on the coach, driver turning a blind eye to the consumption of beer, wine and cider. Driver taking the piss by passing about half a mile of stationary traffic and cutting in then cutting about three red lights in a row. Atmosphere in Green Man so good I could feel my beer glass vibrating. Someone curling one out into a plastic glass in the bogs. Couple of pints of real ale from the barrel inside the concourse. What a goal from Georgie. Deafening rendition of In our Coventry Home. Rounded off this morning watching some posh Oxford kids YouTube blog where he says they are playing an easy team and then is heard saying "shut up skyblues" when the noise of 'stand up if you love city' is dominating his commentary.

A wonderful day, a great result and memories to last a lifetime.
I was lucky enough to see Cov play at the old Wembley twice in 1987.
Being there with my son just made the day more magical.

Unreal.

Drank in Camden and Covent Garden Saturday. Camden was livelyish, The Legion turned up en masse which helped create an atmosphere. Went back into Central London at about 7pm which was a bit of an anti climax in the end.

On the day, met 5 mates from Liverpool, went in the Doric Arch at Euston and met Ricky Hatton who was propping up the bar. Headed up to Wembley with the intention of going to JJ Moons but it appeared they were all operating an 1 in 1 out system so jibbed that off in favour if cans from every off license we passed. Fantastic atmosphere all along with City fans everywhere. After the game, pretty much the same in reverse! Moor beers in the Doric Arch and then back to Liverpool at about 8pm.

Game itself, couldn't quite believe it (still can't!) Thought Kyle Reid played really well and obviously George. Lee Burge - absolutely fantastic. Three great saves, well done that man! Personally I thought the atmosphere was great. There was a least one version of In Our Coventry Homes that sounded as if everyone was singing, truly great moment. Distinct lack of Twist and Shout being sung other than the train home and in the concourse at half time!

Great day, sat in work now absolutely knackered!
