Before this game Robins said 2 pts a game. With the results yesterday and our win today is that still the case?

So 22pts

7 wins and a draw, 3 losses
6 wins and 4 draws, 1 loss

The fans not to panic if we lose a game now and then! Which after a long gruelling season tiredness can play a big factor, trust in MR to rotate the players efficiently to offset it.

Think Pompey could catch that but 7 would be time to pound the gavel

I’ve spent the last hour looking at summer transfers who we could possibly need...need to stop that

I still can’t believe we’re in this position Mark Robins is a legend for what he’s done for this club & our fans imagine we actually went up playing away from cov with our circumstances

The best thing to do is not over analise it.
I know it's all very exciting and my stress levels are high but the old saying of "take every game as it comes" is so so true
All we need to concentrate on now is Ipswich next Saturday.
3 points and another clean sheet and happy days.

These players don’t strike me as the type to let it go to their head I think it will give them more belief now and push on even more

9 wins would give us 91 points and a pretty good goal difference.
Rotherham have 10 games left and would need to win them all to beat 91
Portsmouth have 11 games left and also need to win them all to beat 91
Wycombe can only get 89 if they win them all
Sunderland can only get 88 if they win them all
Rotherham have to play Wycombe, Portsmouth, and Sunderland. I can't see anyone winning all their remaining games.
I think 7 wins and no more that 2 defeats will win us the top spot, 6 wins and 2 to 3 draws for 2nd.

For what Champions? Top 2? Or top 6?

Champions = 86 plus. Thats just 7 wins and 2 draws
Top 2, autos= 83 plus. Thats just 6 wins and 2 draws.

Play offs 76 points? Just another 12 points.

Alot of teams will drop alot of points.

Stay unbeaten and that should be enough to win it.

8 wins and a draw and we're guaranteed promotion... I think... as Rotherham and Portsmouth still have to play each other.

Just thinking about who didn't play today.. .... Jones, Shipley, Westbrooke, Biamou, Mason, Pask, Giles. That's a very reasonable group of players to rotate in to the side for the last 11 games.

I'm not sure this is the best approach at this stage. See separate thread.

Keeping Godden fit is key
There is little back up and his goals will be the difference between wins and draws.

Didn't say we would, just said that we have enough depth in the squad to compensate for tiredness/injuries if we need to.

6 points in the next 5 games will probably mean we are still 1st or at worst 2 nd
0 points would put us 6th or 7th
That is what a great position we are in

Next week Peterborough host pompey, Sunderland play gillingham and Fleetwood play Blackpool.

So there will be points dropped by the chasing pack

Fancy gillingham to take a point and posh pompey play a draw out too

That is a steep target. 6/2/3 would give us enough. Possibly 6/1/4

6 wins would guarantee a play off place (82 points).
9 wins would guarantee automatics (91 points).

Yeah and if he was to get the City into the Premier league, will need another statue making.
