Boothroyd on duo being able to speak to clubs.
Keiren Westwood and Aron Gunnarsson are today free to talk to other clubs.
Although Coventry City have said they would like to keep both the keeper and the midfielder who are in the final phase of their contracts, neither of the players have to tell City about any negotiations they may be involved with.
Speaking to the CT, Aidy Boothroyd said: "Yes they can talk to anybody they want. "They don't have to tell me about it and to be prefectly honest, I won't ask.
"They will do what they need to do and if offers come in they will have a decision to make. But we will continue to talk to Westy and Aron because we want to keep them and at this time I think it is the best place for them to be, but what will be will be."
