The sad part is that this is a Coventry City board, where probably you have to be pretty keen to go to the trouble of logging in to talk about things and we all think We'll get hammered. :thinking about:

A spanking is possible for sure. On another note I have never met a Hammers fan I didn't like!

Not quite. I was there as well. Great team and Garry Thompson made amends for his mistake early on.
But for me it was the 5-4 victory against Norwich on Boxing day in 77? 3 penalties and a last minute save from Jim Blyth.

Two of my fave ever City performances. 5-4 against Norwich and 3-2 against West Ham. Happy days.

The way things are these days I am not so sure we will ever score 5 again. Maybe even 3.

Otis, better than the 5-4 against Forest in the league cup? or even the 4-3 against Tottenham 86/87 season.....Big Cyrille in dying minutes. Happy days indeed :claping hands:

The Spurs one especially. Still have the picture of Regis heading that one in to win the game!

I used to love Massey Fergusons, John Deeres and huge combine Harvesters. But I went off them a few years ago. Does that mean I'm an ex-tractor fan?

You get a pretty good view anywhere in the Ricoh to be honest.

Do you want the 3 points now or would you rather take the journey up and make a day of it all?

Same as my dads! He raved so much about that Jim Blyth save-what a moment that must have been, better than a goal.

Three allocations of 6250?? To be fair we could do with 18750 extra fans, there's plenty of room.

Enjoy the trip and the three points. I have issues with West Ham but only because the only time I tried to go there we got all the way there on the coach only to be told the game was off and we had to come all the way back. Plus my Hammers supporting mate keeps banging on about how Beckham should've played for them.

My only link with the Hammers is that Alf Garnett was a fan!

Just to let you know, I had a cracking time!, you've got a really good stadium, people around the ground where helpful, the food was good, the atmosphere was good, and you programme was a good read.
Only downpoint was a copper from WMP stood next to my boy for about 15 minutes, made him fell really uncomfortable, but then again it is WMP

Glad you had a good day (apart from the scoreline of course). It was an enjoyable game and I thought our lads, especially our teenagers, did really well. Your superior squad proved the difference though. When you can bring on the likes of Carlton Cole as a sub then you should really be going up.

The minutes silence was very unsavoury. Let's be honest though, when you're asking £6k away fans, of which a good few would already have been pissed up, to keep a minutes silence it is a bit of a recipe for disaster. The reaction of our fans didnt help of course. I've no doubt that it would have been a very small minority of away fans who would have started chanting.

It always helps when there's fewer empty seats in the ground. Unfortunately, I think that's the last time the away end will be filled for a while!

Good luck for promotion

Most of the (minimal) noise came from the concourse- fans who wouldn't have know it was the minutes silence (after all, most clubs did that last weekend), mongs up in block 15 made things worse by chanting abuse at the 6k+ fans in the stadium who were actually silent.
