Effectively we had Wright playing closer to Simms last season. Wright was a left inside forward whereas EMC is much wider.

I’d liked to have seen Simms and Norm up top for a bit tonight. (Maybe try Norm in place of EMC or Saka)

I think we have to play Wright (when fit) and Simms again as per last season - 40 goals!

I think he would have taken “that” shot with his “wrong” foot.

Probably would have scored the “Torp” header.

Possibly Sheaf’s header as well.

It wasn't all bad tonight, lots of good points. WBA looked nothing special. They got lucky with the first goal massive deflection.

Exactly, WBA were nothing special but just turned up and won like the majority have against us

Think I would give Torp and Allen a game against Hull, rather than Eccles and Sheaf.

The way he's playing right now, I wouldn't be too unhappy if we sold Ben Sheaf for £3.12.

It's like he's a different player.

It’s just slow obvious play. Ok they do some lovely accurate passes to each other and the pass accuracy statistic (excluding Milan) this evening must be something to be proud of but…..even watching at home you know which player the ball is going to and who it will go to afterwards…..and did I say it’s such slow play.

Theyre really are not an accurate pass is to feet not in the vicinity of!

Sorry meant start up front - a half maybe to see if there’s a partnership there or not.

He played a pass in the second half that was genuinely atrocious with so much time

That was down to suddenly changing tactics which teams took a while to adapt to, combined with the COH purple patch.

Unfortunately what I was saying a few weeks back. Since the Play Off final, we've had a 3 month period where we were excellent but besides that it's been poor. The couple of exciting wins against Leeds and Wolves have done a good job in hiding it.

You can't just totally erase 4 months of the season because it fits a stupid argument .
We beat Leicester , Leeds , Wolves and other top sides .
Was it all a fluke ?.
Jeez

3 very winnable games next. Anything less than 6 points would be extremely disapointing

We have to start Torp and Rudoni as pairing against Hull and Pompey .
Hoping to see Raphael on the bench soon too

Can't defend. Can't score. Can't pass between the lines.

Dean Austin should've been Luigi Mangione's first target for the way he's screwed thousands of Cov fans over.

Sorry but that guy has been in football 6 or 7 year under many coaches and manager and still cannot do the basic thing of trapping a ball.
You have to have control over it he hasn't ,more than once tonight when he come on tried to control it and gifted to WBA.
Think last year he did what many players do start well and teams work on your flaws and then your not the same second season.

Can’t remember the last time a shot at our goal was actually saved by a keeper. Collins didn’t have anything to do but still conceded 2! None of them were his fault-but the difference between the 2 keepers was plain for all to see tonight. Palmers handling was good and at times was off his line as quick as a shot to snuff out any threat.
We had the better chances but tomorrow’s papers will all say 2-0 and that’s all that matters unfortunately.

WBA got a huge slice of luck for the 1st.
Thought we defended OK overall, but their 2nd was criminal.
Lati should only play CB in a 3, or at DM.
Kitching back on Saturday pleae

We created 5 golden opportunities.
Bassette X 2 (should of scored both)
Sheaf header
Torp header
Bidwell’s shot was in until it hit Lati.

Disappointing, but I can see improvement. Our shape is so much better.

I’d be very surprised if Kitching isn’t on on Saturday-if he isn’t it’s obviously not going to happen for him here.

If I were a pro and training every day, I'd notice there were things like that I wasn't good at and spend extra time improving. Simms with his trapping, Sheaf with his shooting, Bassette using his right foot.

Who is erasing it?

I mentioned the Wolves and Leeds wins. The Leicester win was during that very, very good run we had between December and February.

Just got back. An evening of so many negatives whole team through.

We conceded 2 goals after they had 2 shots on target also.

It was Robins that was responsible for bringing them to the club . King can only have formed that opinion based on what he had been told by Robins and Austin as he has freely admitted that he didn't know much about football

Exactly this.
You say none were his fault, but a Gunn/Patterson/Palmer/Cooper, saves shots like the second.
Any of those in our goal and we'd be numerous points better off.
As I have posted - 12 of the last 14 shots on target against us have been goals.
Just ridiculous.

Collins doesn't save it, no... Correct.
But there are other keepers in this division that do.
As with many of the goals we have conceded in this run of 12 from 14 shots going in.

It’s hit hard and low into the corner. Something no player we have except Wright knows how to do.
