Whole team played well tonight nobody under a 7 m-o-m for me between Panzo & Doyle I’d buy them both if possible.
Big mention for Michael Rose too.

Wilson - 6: Didn’t have much to do, but loses two points for his kicking then gets one back for his shithousing at the end.
Rose - 8: Really good game I thought, solid defensively and passing much improved.
Doyle - 7: Some of his passes are ridiculous, feel he doesn’t win as much as a lad of his size should and still naive defensively at times.
Panzo - 7: Love him and his runs forwards. Again loses his man occasionally but adds a nice dimension and comes into midfield well at time.
Burroughs- 7: Subdued performance but some good runs and crosses and OK defensively. Lots to learn but looks a prospect.
Hamer - 9: Ran the game first half, unlucky not to get a long range goal
Sheaf - 9: Outstanding. Some great tackles. One pass from last season but we’ll ignore that.
Bidwell - 7: Solid, like the understanding he’s building with Panzo and when he pushes up high.
O’Hare - 7: Not his best game and tires towards the end. Shooting has improved immensely, now just needs to hit the target more often
Allen - 7: Not awful. Still limited but first half actually saw some good in him. Which is rare.
Vik - 7: Balls of steel to put the pen away, won the pen and was a threat but really needs to finish those one on ones. Some decent target man play today as well.

Palmer - 7: Good chasing and a couple of decent balls. Really like him and wish he’d get time when we’re on top and not just when everyone’s knackered and we’ve barely got the ball.

Kelly - 5: Pointless. Not even sure he touched the ball
Tavares - 11

Will have to bear in mind that the penalty adds on a few points, but given that we should have won anyway despite some frustration in front of goal, these marks are probably justified.

Wilson: 10 - Clean Sheet. Lol jk, would give him an 8. Some kicking was a bit to be desired, but that shit housing at the end was sublime.
Burroughs: 7.5 - Not easy to make the step up to first team football like that, but he's doing absolutely fine. Some good bits today.
Panzo: 7.5 - Thought he had scored again today, but did a job solidly at the back. Difficult to critique in that sense.
Doyle: 7.5 - A bit more reserved than against Swansea, but that's fine. He dropped off badly in that game. Hopefully this one builds his confidence a bit.
Rose: 7 -Don't recall seeing much of him, but perhaps that isn't a bad thing. No clanger to note.
Bidwell: 7 - Maybe people won't agree, but thought he was a bit weaker than usual today. No concerns though. Perfectly acceptable generally
Sheaf: 8 - I admit I have a hard time seeing the best bits with him sometimes, but thought he was fantastic today. Some of the tackling was really a sight to see. Well done Benjamin.
Hamer: 8 -Best quality player on the pitch, but definitely dropped off second half. At one stage I commented how well he had played, then he misplaced the next three passes. Not gonna drop him marks for that though, as it makes me look bad.
Allen: 7 -Didn't think he was particularly effective tonight, but we still won, so 7.
O'Hare: 7 - Thought he has looked a bit off the last couple of games. Has zero composure in front of goal, we know, but hopefully he is alright as I think he usually is so much better for us. Did have some decent moments though.
Gyokeres: 8.5 - Wouldn't have won without him. Penalty was decent, but the run was class. Should have scored his 1v1 thought, so half a point off for that. We must keep hold of him.

Rashford: 7 - When my missus asked what I was doing, and I said 'rating the players', she said: 'What score did you give Rashford'. Probably a 7 then m8.
Doug King: 9 - Nice to see some passion from the stands.

Subs:

Palmer: 7.5 - Made a decent contribution I thought.
Kelly: 7.5 - Also thought he got stuck in a fair bit.
Tavares: Too little time to judge really.

Robins: 8 - Got the game plan right, and we should have been winning at several opportunities, which isn't his fault. Still not totally sure about his subs - Tavares needs more time really, but we won, so largely don't really feel that bothered.

All in all, feels great to bury the hatchet from Saturday. I genuinely feel really good tonight because we won, whereas the Swansea game made me feel so pissed off. Funny how CCFC can have such a weight on your mood. Well done boys & Merry Christmas!

Agree entirely with this. Hamer was tremendous. Sheaf also excellent. Only minor disagreement - Hamer got injured after about 60mins and wasn't quite as mobile as the game went on. Kelly coming on helped settle us I thought.

Wilson 6 Kicking dreadful again, but that time wasting at the end….I was in awe

Burroughs 6 Doesn’t look out of place
Rose 7 Best game of the season
Doyle 7 Along with Rose, wonderful distribution
Panzo 6 A few wobbles but finished strong
Bidwell 7 Just another consistent, dependable game

Sheaf 7 MOTM Made WBA’s lives miserable, recovers the ball as well as any midfielder in this league
Hamer 7 Irresistible in the first half carrying the ball forward, faded before he came off
Allen 6 Pretty poor by his recent standards
O’Hare 7 His dynamism on the ball gave WBA big problems, should have scored

Gyokeres 7 That’s what he does….capable of match-winning moments, he continues to surprise me

Palmer 6 Disappointing if I’m honest, throws himself about but missed some through ball opportunities
Kelly 6 Honestly don’t remember him doing anything
Tavares NA

First half was very good, second half I thought they were the better side - draw would have been a fair result, but we managed the game very well. Was nice to see two sides who wanted to play football on the deck, and that suited us - Rose and Doyle played some beautiful passes from the back, and the link-up play between Gus and O’Hare was battering them in the first half. Atmosphere wasn’t bad either - a goal earlier on in the game would have kicked it up a notch.

Wilson: 6.5 - Wasn’t tested too much

Burroughs: 7 - Solid
Panzo - 7.5 - played well, unlucky not to score
Doyle: 8 - See other thread
Rose: 7.5
Bidwell: 7 - As usual, rarely makes a mistake which is his primary job, but leaves a lot to be desired going forward for me

Sheaf: 9 - Best player on the park
Hamer: 7.5 - Almost cost us a goal with a woeful corner but made up for it

Allen: 7 - Usual workman like performance
O’Hare: 7 - Quieter than usual, should have made more of a chance in the first hand

Gyokeres: 8 - Forced a good save from their keeper first half, great penalty

I realised our fans think our players are world class last night. Two players in particular were slated all night around us. Bidwell and sheaf - unbelievable
Bidwell is mr reliable - energy commitment desire organisation tackle pass gets up well.
And as for sheaf we were walking out and a lady said how good was sheaf to be met with a couple of drunken he always gives the ball away. Once again I couldn’t not comment as he had one pass in what felt like 240 passes that he played straight to them.
Our fans (including me) are absolutely mad sometimes
We are a proper championship team now. Not only did West Brom come on the back of a winning run and set up for a point but we bossed the game when ever since we’ve come up they’ve battered us and certainly did last year

Had to host and cook a dinner last night (the joys of approaching middle age) - so didn't watch the second half and will watch later. Expecting a 10/10 performance from Sheaf considering @Earlsdon_Skyblue1 's ratings.

As I said somewhere else for 10 mins he strolled around like a gerrard pinging oases and demanding the ball. Take out errors he’s a top top championship player. Add pace he’d be nowhere near our team.

There's someone behind me that states bidwell every second of the game. And was also on Sheafs back for the 1 pass he gave away, yet said nothing about the 5-6 times Hamer gave the ball away leading to WBA attacks.

Hamer will give the ball away, as will Sheaf. It's the bravery that Robins wants and we need to beat teams like this. Going from side to side in front of them will never hurt. I'd focus more on some of the excellent successful passes made.

Hamer was excellent for an hour, they really couldnt handle him - and was MOM for the hour, but then just fell away - which is why he was eventually replaced
@Sick Boy Sheaf clearly not a 10 , but as accomplished a midfield performance as you would find at this level

I personally am not an Allen fan, but at the same time recognise what he does for the team with his closing down, running and chasing

All in all some of the football last night in tight spaces was sublime and if we keep to that standard we will certainly win 50% of our remaining fixtures which with a couple of draws will get us into the play offs

Which is why sheaf simply has to be marked higher , an exemplary game by him

The pitch invader deserves a -10. Not only was he a knob for coming on the pitch but he did it when we were in a promising position. If you're going to be a complete wanker then at least do it when the opposition are in a threatening position.
