Well we could always play second fiddle to them after all we are used to that in Northampton.

a paying customer is a paying customer. everyone keeps banging on about the stadium never being used but that's now two tenants they've got in. better for them than it not being used surely?

as we're not playing there the only real issue is if this causes a problem should we decide we want to come back.

Your mates at SISU are paying about 7.5k a game in Northampton......And are also paying for the pitch to be playable on.

Just shows you what can happen when you negotiate.

I don't have a problem with another club using what should be our facilities. But I do hope that there is a clause in any contract about usage if Joy ever comes to her senses and gives up on the fruitless litigation which has cost our club millions so far. And that is even if the legal bills have not been added to our clubs debt.

do you mean unsustainable ?

If so, I would be keen to see the evidence of this. have they defaulted on the loan ?

He is saying if it is sustainable they did not need to deploy a loan to assist them. The return would come in shareholder dividends and the capital could be used to fund projects they are cutting back on.

Just a bit strange especially after I've read about another 1000 jobs going to save £60m.do you really believe hand on heart that ACL will survive over ten years and on the flip side ccfc will survive in the same period with the current circumstance.all they need to is to agree a rent where everyone is happy, sounds simple doesn't it.

i want us back at the ricoh.

I agree, it should be so simple. just agree a short term rent until new stadium is built and everyone can move on. Sadly, i just cant see it happening. SISU keep banging on about F&B when they are getting virtually nothing at sixfeilds, so surely additional ticket income at ricoh would more than offset this until the new stadium is built ?

ACL, who knows. They currently have the issue of having to keep the stadium free in case of a return. If that was off the table long term, they could look to use the venue for something else.

Since it is a commercial loan which is currently being repaid with interest, it appears you did make it up.

Why the need for a loan in the first place? It makes a profit right?

Yes Due to government cut backs.
Need to get your facts right.

Great, isn't it? I'm sure each and every one of the thousand people who are going to lose their jobs will feel a little better every time they drive past the Ricoh; "At least the community asset is safe for the people of Coventry" they will sigh.

The future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

Stop this crap, refinancing ACL took nothing away from services. In fact it's due to make millions in profit. It probably saved services.

Look, if you have to exaggerate and make shit up to make your point, maybe you don't have a point?

Typical response from someone like you.

Every Council in the country are making redundancies due to Government cut backs.
Yet you are happy for a council asset to be sold cheaply or given away for nothing to a cheating lying Hedgefund.

Just look over the Border into Grendels Country Brum and look what massive cutback and job losses they are having t make.

I thought the money for the ACL loan came from a different source not out of CCC funds, is that not correct?

Millions of companies make profits and still have outstanding loans. As long as they can finance the loan it isn't a problem. If ACL can't maintain repayments you would have an argument, but seemingly they are, and there is no evidence to suggest that won't remain the case. I wouldn't imagine the huge Friargate development is being financed by Council reserves would you?

Ah yes, "different pots". As I said, I'm sure that will be of some comfort to those being made redundant.

"Someone like me", eh?

I'm happy for the football club to be given access to the "council asset". Whether that's through a rental deal or some other way. Because at the moment, who is actually getting anything from this "asset". Maybe you'd like to tell me why that £14M was well spent and how you and other Coventry taxpayers have benefited.
