Hi guys, only been able to watch the Bristol game so far, so I just wondered what people think of Wesley up to now. From what I saw in the last game he adds a threat going forward, has pace enough to beat a man, but doesn't always seem to want to run at them. I did see him out-muscle their players for the ball a few times and win the turn over. This gives something a little different from Thomas last year, which is nice. I don't imagine Kastaneer has come to sit on the bench, so can they both be accommodated in the team? And should they? Thoughts?

He will be a confidence player, you can tell he beats himself up when he makes a mistake and it bothers him.

Think he suits a 442 wingers set up rather than a 433 but slowly seems to be getting sharper & settling into our system.Kastanner seems more of a take your man on type player so could play on the left also though, still early days Jobello for sure ca cross a ball with a variety of balls into the box.

He’s improved every game imo. He has a very good cross on him but doesn’t always take defenders on when he should. I’m a little concerned that Godden might not get to very many of his crosses on his own when there are 2 big CBs near which is why sticking Biamou on along side him should be at least a plan B, although some of Jobello’s crosses have been whipped in at a height Godden can get to.

The encouraging thing about this lad is he's had 2 ACL injuries in the past so it shows you can recover well if handled properly. Hopefully JJ will do the same
Certainly with Jobello playing so well there is no pressure for him to rush back
The word on Kasteneer is that he's another Duke - a bit selfish and looks like a bull in a china shop but then goes and does something outrageous like his goal at the weekend

Done well so far improved in each game and will get better especially with Dabo behind him now looking the part too. I think he and Kasteneer either side of Godden has great potential.

Going to be interesting to see where Jamie Allen fits in when fit, he’s a busy pass provider type. His involvement will improve Jobello and Kasteneer.

He gets wide and and seems to like to stay wide which is creating a lot of space for others to move into. Likes to cross and cross early it’s a shame we don’t have JCH still as he would have benefited from somebody who can cross the ball.

Not exactly a great endorsement re Kasteener then. Saying that, Bright was also greedy so if we can get him to a similar level to that, as opposed to Duke, we’ll be happy.

MR did help improve Brights ability and team play, so let’s hope he can do the same with Kasteener.

Any news re his attitude i.e. does he have one?

Nothing negative on his attitude so far
Hopefully he'll become more of a team player as time goes on
If not Robins will consign him to the bomb squad

One thing I noticed about this (you can see an example in the build up to the Shipley goal) is that when he is pushing wide, it seems to encourage Godden to move towards him too. When he crossed that ball in Godden was behind him on the wing still. I rememeber thinking at the time "well who's going to score then..." obviously strikers will move about a bit. But I would think that Goddens ideal position when Jobello is looking for a cross is in the box!

I think we will miss Bayliss as he could have run into the space created by Jobello being very wide

For the first goal on Saturday both Shipley and Westbrooke had got into the box. Westbrooke also did the same for Hiwulas second goal against Exeter when Godden broke free down the right.

I think we are already starting to use the space well and Allen will add to that when he's fit.

I am not sure on the type of player Allen is hopefully one that can pick a pass as Jobello looks like he likes to run into the ball and cross early

Also Bayliss would have run into the gap on the right created by Jobello being wide Westbrooke doesn’t run with the ball like Bayliss did

Jobello sticking to the touchline also creates space for Dabo to make narrower runs, with or without the ball, rather than your typical overlaps like we see on the left with Mason and Hiwula. They’ve been quite effective.

He is obviously a decent player nice touches and can cross a ball.

Weakness totally one footed.

I would like to see him go one on one more.

Early days.
