Wenger confirms striker's Cup fitness

Nicklas Bendtner has recovered from an ankle injury and is set to line up in Arsenal's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Coventry City.
Wenger confirms striker's Cup fitness
The Danish striker has been out since spraining his ankle after scoring the late opening goal in the Gunners' 2-0 win against Cardiff City at the Emirates Stadium on New Year's Day.
But boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he is now fully fit and is set to start Friday night's home clash against the League One outfit.
"He's been back in the squad since the start of the week and he's available if selected," Wenger said.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could also start the game following his recent return from a long-term knee injury, but midfield trio Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey remain sidelined with respective calf, broken nose and thigh problems while Yaya Sanogo has not yet overcome a back injury.
Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott are long-term absentees with their respective knee injuries.

Meanwhile, despite his side being well placed in the race for the Premier League title, Wenger is keen on winning the FA Cup this season - almost nine years after their last success in the competition which is also the last time they won any silverware.
He said: "I have been lucky enough to win it four times, but unfortunately we haven't won it for a long time now so in fact I am even more focused to do well in this competition now.
"I would love the club to win the FA Cup again."
The Gunners went out at the hands of Championship side Blackburn last season, so Wenger is not taking Coventry lightly ahead of Friday's televised clash.
The Frenchman added: "We have to prepare seriously for this game, because we are on a good run and it will be really not welcome at all not to take this game seriously.
"Blackburn was the first time in 16 years that we lost against lower league opposition in the FA Cup, so that was a great warning.
"At the moment, this is just our next game and we want to win it."

Oxlade-Chamberlain's super human pace won't stand a chance against our solid, resolute, tighter than a duck's arse back four!

Well, Christie's quick!! I'm trying to put a positive slant on this! Also, at least it's not Walcott! Got a few out in midfield too haven't they. Arteta, Rosicky and Ramsey is a big chunk along with Walcott.

I know, looks like we might only be up against Ozil, Wiltshere, Cazorla, Flamini and Chamberlain

I like your positive spirit, Otis!!! I'm right behind you*!!!

(*In mind, not body! As I've mentioned before, I'm definitely not in to that sort of thing, although I'm liberal enough to accept that it does go on behind closed doors and that people should be allowed to make their own choices with regards to their sexuality!!!)

I know. Oh to be a top PL league team. I am just looking forward to see how Pressley lines us up and how we fair against a top top side. One thing Arsenal will do is give us chance to play the way we like to play, the only problem as I see it is getting the ball to do it.

I know they bought ozil in and he's Influential ,but i reckon the return of Flamini has been pivotal to their resurgence .They all bother me, but hell that Gnabry looks a hell of a prospect.

Definitely, Flamini is the glue of the team or to coin a previous phrase "the water carrier". Does all the ugly work so the flair players can do their thing. Wish we could get a defensive midfielder of that type, might help us close out games better.

Hope we can pressurise young Jenkinson as I don't think he's made the leap since leaving Charlton ,down to Blair + Frank,or Franque as they say on the national radio and In the Arsenal dressing room.

That's Joy Sepalla shafting you Otis. Just take it - it's the Council's fault I believe.

Don't expect to come back with much more than a defeat but maybe we can come back with a couple of starlets on loan for the rest of the season, pacey winger and midfielder would do.
