Always said anyone who wants a ticket will get one.I am pleased everyone who wanted a ticket will get one first and foremost. I don't care what type of fan they are we all deserve at least one day out.
We are getting relegated and in my opinion many more dark days ahead so a chance of a day at wembley crappy cup or not is to be cherished. Enjoy it everyone.
There is no right or wrong ratio. The only thing that is wrong is that people keep bringing up this stupid topic.Talking about this at work today and in pub after work about how many people that are going to Wembley haven't been to see City for several seasons if at all. Seems like lots of people see it as a day out taking kids, wife/girlfriend or just mates while some regulars aren't bothering. A couple of people reckon it's going to be about a third hardcore fans and two thirds not. Not knocking anyone and fair play to anyone getting the chance to take their kids to see city at Wembley but just wondering if anyone thinks that ratio is right/wrong and what it might mean for the atmosphere?
A third hard core fans, 45000 sold or there abouts, love to know where the other 7500 hard core fans are on a typical Saturday.
Who cares, it just shows what support a little well placed investment could bring to the club and the fortunes that may come with it.
Bullseye! Close thread. There is no right or wrong ratio. The only thing that is wrong is that people keep bringing up this stupid topic.
Get over it, anyone will go who wants to.
The thing that will have most influence on the atmosphere is how good a game it is and who is winning, nothing to do with who is in the crowd.
Another bullseye! Close thread now.I think you are wide of the mark on this one. The vast majority will be city fans on a day out. Many will be lapsed but will have been die-hards at some point. I'm in a collection of 20 who don't have season tickets but all of us have had season tickets at some point over the past 15-20 years, many of us for several years We are hundred percent aware of what is going on at the club -infact a very good reason why the majority of us haven't been at all this season. We are city fans who are disenchanted with what is going on, but are looking for a day out wearing sky blue, plenty of beers and singing city songs non-stop. There will be many like us, not ignorant city fans, just understandably lapsed. Some of us bringing young kids in the hope of maybe inspiring them and so they will remember for the future 'trains of sky blue taking over the capital' and maybe, just maybe a brighter future if these b!stards ever leave
Aren't they better off I wish I was immune to itThe overwhelming vast majority in attendance will be immune/completely oblivious to what's happening to the club or even the humiliating result on the day.

It is untapped support, surely, we play third tier football with above average crowds (we are shit, bottom of the league) in a stadium that can hold 32000+, you think it would remain that way if we had Chelsea Man u Man City Arsenal Liverpool Spurs or the local derby or 2, no, the place would be a sell out every week, the premier league is where its at, HR crowds and the game 20 yrs ago dont compare to today, football has moved on big time and people want to see big teams, we would sell out week after week in the top flight, its just sad and pathetic that we are where we are.We have 7000-8000 regular supporters. 45000 at wembley shows people like a day out, nothing more. Its not untapped support or what we could get at home every week. Most havent been at all or for years at best. Let them enjoy their day so that they can tell people 'we were there' and slink back off into the shadows.
That will be great I suppose most of them wouldn't know the Skyblue song45,000 chanting Sisu Out will do me
Deegan is solid but there are better players for me. Sean whalley is my bet.Do you go to Shrewsbury games much Shrew?
My mate has a season ticket down there and says Gary Deegan is nailed on to be their player of the year! WTF!?
