You did what had to be done.
the lease had to be broken! CCFC could not survive under those terms!
If I had been in charge, I would hsve done the same.

I hope this a joke... if not, what a monumental tool you are! There really is nothing more sad than an ordinary bloke who's too dumb to know when he's being shafted! But I'm gonna assume its a joke, benefit of the doubt and all that!

Well. They've administered a regime that's seen us slip to our lowest league position in living memory, half crowds on less than five years, wrack up incredible debts, have a complex company structure - domiciled via countries we couldn't even pin point on a map, orchestrated via an owner we don't even know the look of.

Make a once proud family club the laughing stock of the football league. Not know with what penalty we start next season. Even if we exist.

you really believe our bank balance is -60,000,000? It's all bullshit. Say we pay 1.4 mil a year rent, and our players wage bill is 3kpw average x 24 players, so that's 3,774,000. Plus running costs, that's 6 million ish expenses. We gain 11,000 average gates x £15 x 23 = 3,795,000. So without including sponsership, tv rights, player sales etc, we lose 2 million a year, times 6 years sisu have been here, equals -£12 million!

With that wage bill we were losing over half a million every month.

Perfectly serious,

But I did want to demonstrate why no one else would ever want to buy into a fan base that doesn't show any respect for an owner that has funded us for five years!

You actually make a very good point there. No one can doubt SISU for all their faults have pumped a large amount of money into the club. Even if you doubt the £60 million figures everyone must agree with this. So if you are a prospective buyer you could look and say the last guys put in 10's of millions of pounds and are hated, I cannot win here. Should be a genuine concern actually will surely put many potential investors off.

I have to say if I was to win £150m on the lottery would I want to invest in ccfc - the club I've supported since a kid?

The answer is no - the fans would expect me to chuck far more in than my £150m and, if anyone stuck up for me after chucking in say £50m, someone like MMM would call them a "twat."

I wouldn't want to do it to myself or the fan sticking up for me!

Zackly!
Hasn't it been said we have one of the best squads if not the best squad in the league?
And what about biting the hand that feeds you?
Forget the Haskells
Even if he did buy in - which he won't
He could not spend more on the team - even if he had millions to throw at it, because its limited by FFP
which is limited by revenue, thich WAS limited by the rental agreement.

the fact is, no cov fans will fight for CCFC. Unlike pompey etc. I used to believe Cov fans are the best in the world, but I think a small percentage of cov fans are great. the majority are fair weather, and would not lift a finger to help their club :jerkit:

Gate receipts are deceptively small. An average 20k gate only pulls In about £5m after vat removed and the big tv and premier league payments for championship only came in this year because we agreed the elite player plan.

It's all about expectations. Our fans expectations are too high, we see ourselves as a sleeping giant and believe we should be in the premier league. Our fans wouldn't be happy if we cut the wage and transfer budgets to break even, they expect owners to fund losses and to invest in the team, not live within our means and stand on our own two feet,

I'd rather be a successful league 1/ championship team atm. the sort of team that intimidates other teams, not an easy 3 points. But agreed, we are not a sleeping giant, compared to some teams in the championship, we would be lucky to finish in top half.

Thank you:.
I was worried about swimming against the tide on here, but I really think we can't expect more of an owner.

At the end of the day its just my opinion, and others are entitled to theirs, but I think SISU don't deserve the constant stick they get, off the fans or the council.
Does anybody seriously think their objective with the rent is to "SHAFT" anybody? Is that likely to turn around their investment?

The £1.2m was agreed when we we a prem team, 400k would still be high for a L1 team, and 800k would be high for the championship! We have been overpaying for years!

agree about sisu maybe getting too much stick. but they did strip the club of all assets. mortgaged ryton, sold good players for free etc. and IMO put investment in places we didn't need it. They may have provided funds, but put it in the wrong areas :thinking about:

They have put good assets on the field! I think all the multi level companies and debentures is just to protect their position. And maybe fend off take overs and admin! I have more confidence they will take us out of this, not an anonymous american or russian millionaire!.

They should have done this at the start.

The business model when established was always going to result in financial ruin for the club.

It should have been identified when the owners had a fan base that supported them and when ACL were vunerable.

They should have wiped them out 5 years ago.

In the long run the club may benefit but now it's a long road back.

Maybe nobody worried about a rent that was ok for the prem when they were expecting to get back there!
Yes it should have been corrected earlier but they seem to have been facing a brick wall in that respect.
The council haven't been forthcoming!

( I'm not trying to say they haven't made mistakes, but then nor are they!)
