Glass half empty?

Why not agree we have had a good season over all with some disappointment.

Other teams just did better!

Here, here. Has been a long season but overall well done TM and team. Learn the lessons, get SISU to increase the budget by 10% and this time next year we will be celebrating.

We have more promising looking players than we had at this point last year, when Tony started with pretty much nothing to work with (putting just fleck to one side). He has done what he has done this season with a low base to start from, he now has a better scouting network, he will have more confidence and trust placed in him from premiership managers wanting to bring talent through AND he now has more experience of the league that we find ourselves in. He has got us to where he has in 1 season, the second season he can do it again and might just perfect his own skill sets.

PUSB 2016/17 the year of the playoffs!

Was wondering if Calum W moves for big bucks in the Summer and we pick up £1-2M extra, whether that can/will go towards boosting player budget?

Such a disappointing end to the season for us that can't be denied.
However on reflection to us last season then it's an improvement and although money is yet again going to be tight next season, I think we are in good hands with TM and should be right up there next season, well here's hoping.

Not every midland club is going to get rich Thai owners to make it all easier.

Wasn't there a story doing the rounds that Liverpool are preparing a £20m bid and we stand to gain a £4m windfall from it?

Who? Liverpool? As well as the four million I'd take that.

we could get 40 million but not a penny will be given to the manager for team building.

Haha what bollocks.

You do realise free transfers aren't actually 'free' right?

And you also realise that players have a salary that needs paying?

Would have taken 8th and 69 points at the start of the season so well done but still feel frustrated by it

A step forward so its a positive. Got to follow it up

Completely agree with this, OSB. I'm not too down but what I want to see this time next year, as a minimum, is us going into the last game of the season with at least a chance of getting into the playoffs. Incremental progress, as TM would say.

& put TF on the minimum wage, 7.20 per hr, after all at a forum he did say that if he didn't do his job well, he wouldn't get paid,
that would save a fair bit,
then put the difference into the player budget,
a good campaign though & given the appropriate MV, TM, & JC can get us out of this league

Good to see we have finally stopped the rot........have we've finally bottomed out?

.....a small taste of real progress for the first time since 2001.

Next season its as clear as day....no excuses....top 6 is a bare minimum requirement, automatic promotion is the target.

It would also be nice to at least make the 2nd round of 1 fucking cup comp......4 out of 4 1st round exits is just a bit too depressing.....

There is absolutely no excuse for teams who were 20 points behind us at xmas finishing 10 points in front of us

Its such a strange one where we have record points, a 20 goal goal machine up front, most home wins in a season and still didn't make the playoffs. Ah well its progression. We go again. Recruitment massive this summer.

Same here. Said at the start of the season I wanted to see an improvement as it just seemed to be year after year of decline. If you compare the season stats there's no way you can argue we haven't improved.

But from being where we were you can't help but be disappointed. Only a couple of wins in the very long disastrous run and it could have all been very different.
