Our home form never will though will it as it's mediocre at best.

Anyway you've still not explained why Russell's brand of football persuaded you to invest for the remainder of the season which Mowbray couldn't.

Was it the football or what lurked beneath his cap that attracted you?

Was it the Robbie Keane season that we were hopeless away from HR?

im just saying it is possible to stay up without away form. wasnt a dig

speaking of not answering,i notice few weeks ago you failed to respond when i asked you if MR would have kept us up with 1 pt defecit and not 17....

as for ST i got it with @hill83 for the priority wembley window. this is no secret. nothing to do with slade as i didnt even enjoy our wins under him for most part(gillingham was ok). i went to 15 home games last season under mowbray, was better off getting ST in the end. oh well. match packages are my thang for most seasons being indian there is always a wedding or event on a saturday. oh and dont forget those holidays! already booked in august for mexico so will miss start of league 2 like did league 1 this season haha

Yup. I remember going away to rock-bottom Watford on the last day of the season thinking, surely we can't go the whole season not winning away...lost 0-1 (and was it the sub Runnar Norman that got subbed?).

Wow, that season tailed off a lot more than I remember. Before the February slump we must have been on for at least top half.

Agree, I really regret not adding Slade's name to my SISU Out banner! The clown should have been given a monthly contract and sacked after 5 games. He just stood there gormlessly in his Lonsdale tracksuit and made things worse and worse and worse...

The problem was really discussed by Greg Downes on the phone in when Mowbray was still here. He said no manager can take over unless they manage like him and the problem was he tried to get players to fit a style they were never good enough to fit. He said they can't pass and yet play a passing game and can't play a physical game either.

Bolton was easily one of the better performances of the season as we competed strongly and showed some purpose upfront.

If we didn't concede those late goals in successive games we'd probably have been alright. Unfortunately Slade then seemed to panic and that game he bizarrely adopted mowbrays wing back bollocks I knew that it wasn't going to go well.

In the end though you can't stay up on home form alone and all 4 managers can't get this squad to perform on the road.

Correct, 7 pts thrown away from very late goals from individual errors alone in them games against Peterborough, Bolton, Wimbledon and Fleetwood. Not forgetting the fuck ups at Oldham too and opening day defeat at Swindon with another late goal.
Momentum gained from them wins could of lifted there confidence and kept them in touch still.
It's all If buts and maybes but would we of ended up with MR now and a seemingly better structured coaching team and better brand of football?
Time to look to the future now and put all the collective errors of the season behind us and prepare to battle in league two.

Only in those instances yes, If players had of done there job, issues would of solved in each game like Burge not collecting a ball off Willis head for a Peterborough player to score a equaliser then danger is solved. Right?
Come on Slade was bad in many ways but certain errors are beyond any manager and we have to look at the players for accountability!
Your making out the players are all blameless.
Suppose you want them all keeping on as next seasons as this years demise was purely between MV sacking at MR appointment.
Take the blinkers off...

i have not said they are blameless. i have said you are making out like slade not to blame yet the guy lost alot of pts in final minutes. a decent manager would find ways to manage a game out

Ive not said he's blameless he holds his part of the season too. But like wise so do the players to, there are the ones who try to keep it out the net.
Things like not coming 5 yards to catch it or switching off lacking concentration no manager can be blamed for however shit his spell was.

Agree mate, Slade was utterly inept and deserves a hell of a lot of blame for our relegation. Fuck his 'tactics', fuck his shite signings and fuck his cap! God help Grimsby.

I'm sure @Earlsdon_Skyblue1 's alarm is sounding as we speak!

Not his fault appatebtly. The squad is the problem. Same squad that other 2 managers prior never had adrift of safety. And the squad that 4th manager has promotion form with...

One of the first things he did was get rid of our leading scorer and in came a bloke who runs around a lot but doesn't score (although he has done ok) and a bloke who looks to me like he has never played before in Reilly.

The other two managers?

Mowbray and Venus left the team in the relegation zone, so your point is completely invalid.

The squad is absolutely awful, but Robins has squeezed the very best out of it in recent weeks.

Agreed the squad is awful and we all know the summer recruitment was diabolical but Slade came in and sold our leading scorer and brought in Yakubu.

He also was outperformed by Mark Venus, the SISU snake. Venus managed a few wins in the League, Slade managed one win in 16...and this argument that he was unlucky, because we conceded in the last couple of minutes in several games, is complete nonsense - football is a 90 minute game - not 87 minutes!

When Russel the clown came in, we were two points from safety, when he was rightly sacked, we were 14 points from safety which is totally unacceptable. The worst manager out of the 4, by a mile.

Please learn to read before you rant.

I said the other 2 managers did bot leave us adrift of safety. It was 1 pt when slade was given job remmeber.

If the squad absolutly woeful then not even MR could get promotion form out of it.

I was right you were wrong. All your yapping has come back to bite you. Better luck next season.

You said on another thread that the squad was not a relegation fodder. Mowbray had us in the relegation zone, so either he is shit, or the squad is shit, or both. You haven't been able to say any of these, so you are clearly 'wrong' somewhere.

I criticised Mowbray early in the season and throughout the summer. You thought we we still get promoted at Christmas. My yapping was therefore, more accurate than yours.

You literally couldn't be more wrong on the entire thing. The arrogance you try and throw over it doesn't do you any favours either.

Include the cup win pal. Its all about the bigger picture. Forget the first 2 games aswell as he not drilled tactics in at that time.

So its more like 5 wins 1d 3 losses which extrapolated over a aeason i imagine is promotion form. Id certainly take it every 9 games!

Your wasting your energy mate... he will say he's right to his grave. Were down because of MV and Slade... blah blah. Nothing to do with the man whos summer building of a squad not fit to go a season and the first 10 games also seems to have no bearing on the season, the lack of goals, bite and confidence too of a side assembled by a man seemingly blameless in a poor season.
TM gets no mention from him, bizarre.
Yes RS underachieved in his time here but the man he forgets to mention for any blame only recoded 7 wins in 2016 and managed a points per game return of just over 1 from January 1st 2016.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Sir Tony Mowbray!
