whenever we brought up Robinson and Richardson that it was no good looking back. Well... the same applies now, doesn't it?
So, looking forwards, a couple of obvious things worth thinking about.
- We still only have a short term deal at the Ricoh
- We need long term stability
- Ideally the club probably does need to own its own ground.
So, given we have a new chairman who has been tasked with the role of getting ground ownership sorted, we probably need to keep a watching brief how this pans out - no problem philosopically with the concept of our own ground that isn't the Ricoh, here... it's the how and where that matter (along with, of course, the if!)
A ceasefire might be nice though, just for a bit as we all bed in again.
SISU's move next, I suggest. Can't give a view until that move happens, but there is still a finite amount of time for things to be sorted if we don't want to go on our travels again...
The club can't afford a new ground.
A long term lease with access to all football revenues is what we need to move too.

While I agree that ideally a football club should own its own stadium, I do say that building an entirely new stadium is completely bonkers.
We need to get to stage whereby the club staying at the Ricoh is the best thing all round for everyone.
I'd be all for a new stadium, philosophically.
Actually would love the idea of the club teaming up with Warwick Uni and building a massive complex, we could even have our Olympic sized pool back (as per Brum uni). It won't happen, of course(!) but in another world don't have anything whatsoever against the idea, in fact I think it'd be terrific for the club in a sporting sense.
What matters, though, is not what I want, or not what you want, but what the next move is...
Think you and I differ slightly NW because you don't care for the Ricoh much and I really love the place.
Philosophically, I'd be OK with a new stadium - financially, I remain to be convinced that it's viable.
For me, the next step is a (probably) slow rebuilding of trust between the parties.
Perhaps it was no coincidence that a feature of the successful talks was the absence of juvenile public soundbites attempting to "have a pop" at the other party(s).
Hopefully we have left the playground and moved into the world of grown ups (typed with crossed fingers - and that ain't easy!).
The problem is though, with a 2-4 year deal for the ground, there's not *that* much time to rebuild trust before it starts becoming an issue again...
That's true, but possibly - if things are settling down and going well - a first step could be to extend the current deal.
Let's see what happens.
The chess board still has plenty of pieces on it, however.
Still going for: Byng to take over, agree a deal to buy the Ricoh and will swing some HS2/rail love CCC's way, as they want that.
How the club looks financially will be down to the deal he gets for the debt and how much of the cost of buying the Ricoh he loads on us. Best case scenario is he buys the lot as a development project and funds the club as a promotional tool. Worst case, he uses the club to get the Ricoh and leaves us languishing. Depends on his priorities I guess.
Can't see Sisu being around much longer, I suspect Joy isn't too happy about coming back, she's not going to get the Ricoh now and the new stadium idea has never stacked up financially.
Problem I have with Byng is he has a touch of the Dhinsas about him.
Why stop at one Asian multinational corp when you can have three?
He's certainly stuck around though, and seems to be close to Sisu.
I'm not a fan, but then I'm finding it hard to get excited about any future owner (other than the mythical superfan billionaire).
I'm not against a new stadium, but it must have better potential than the Ricoh. If we had left HR to go to something like Liberty way we would not have put up with it. Look around at the teams that have moved to modern grounds like the Ricoh, Fester, Southampton, Derby - all are happy in the grounds because that have enjoyed success, or have shown promise of it. Fester didn't own theirs for a chunk of time, but had managed to get it built before they went bust so didn't have to sell all the profit streams to get it built. If we are moved to an 18K seater we will only ever be a L1 occasional Championship club at best. With the Ricoh, we have the potential to get to the Prem. But potential without capability isn't worth much.
If we were in the playoffs one season, gain promotion the next, go near to the playoffs the season after 18k would not be anywhere near big enough. If, and I know its always 'IF' we had got to the JPT final 2 seasons ago there would have been 50-60 thousand there. Glory hunters?? Who gives a flying, it would be revenue to go to the team, and with some clever marketing around ST and ticketing could have boosted the next seasons gates ( Sixfields part).
if SISU want to own the ground and the club the need to make a serious bid for ACL and stop trying to get it on the cheap.
