That's the whole problem with SISU. They have surrounded themselves with a wall of legal protection. Nobody can get close enough to them to make them feel the pressure, or get them on the defensive.
I will be interested to see what happens with the appeal against the Judicial Review. If it gets dismissed again, it will surely put acquisition of the Ricoh once and for all out of SISU's reach. As there seems to be no definite progress towards the new stadium that TF faithfully promised would be built, where does that leave us ? Permanently in exile ? It appears SISU wll only discuss the Ricoh with CCC/ACL/Higgs if the stadium is being offered to them (for little or nothing no doubt).
Any leader who emerged would be powerless to influence what any of the parties in this nightmare do.
I fear we are either going to have to accept playing at Northampton or wherever, or be forced in the direction of setting up a new club.

Do you really think that wouldn't be the case?A bitfoff thread but if a new ground was built say just outside coventry then would it be the same stance as sixfields.would seem pointless building a new ground if 90% of your fans wont be going.Fisher seems to think that he'll be the saviour of the club if it happens and we'll all come rushing back.Maybe a statement reminding him that will not be the case might be due.
Quinn,
You say we are not united?
Our core fan base is 10k.
There is currently only 1k is going to Northampton.
That means 9k not going.
So very simple terms 90% do not support the move.
The only way to unite 100% is to covince the 1k Northampton lot not to go.
Then we have 100% unity. Dont think this will happen. The 1k will go regaredless. Not me i anit going.
Let's face it, if not one single person went at all we would be back in Coventry in no time.
With 1,000 going Sisu are clinging on to the hope that if the team does well the gates will increase over time.
Very good comment.
Your right the few who do go are giving SISU and Fisher something to cling to.
Do you really think that wouldn't be the case?
Depends.A new ground that the club own on land at warwick uni would attract alot more than sixfields.

Neither was a groundshare ?Never going to happen.
Exactly.
I tend to agree -- before I say more let me clear up something Lordsummerisle posted about me making "pro SISU" comments on GMK (whech I had forgotten about and apologized to him). These posts were made some 2/3 years ago when SISU appeared to be behaving themselves, paying rent etc and are not recent as implied. It's a bit like getting married, you might trust your missus to start with and she is loyal to you, but then she starts being unfaithful and your opinion changes.
This is why I have changed my opinion and now detest SISU and want rid of them- divorce !
I agree that SKY BLUES have a fan base of10,000 or more and only 1,000 still following them to Northampton. This is identical to the petitions signed that 90% do not want SKY BLUES to play outside of Coventry- a physical demonstration of just how many support SISU. I am not going to Northampton and support NOPM a KCIC.
If anyone in future wants to quote posts I made years ago as recent fact, that is hardly fair,
It unfortunately also conjures up a most uncomfortable paradox.
The best thing for anyone supporting the NOPM campaign is for the team to do badly. Team does badly on the pitch then that equates to less and less people attending and that aides the campaign.
None of us City fans actually wish the team to do badly and lose every week though.
We want the team to do well but for less people to attend. It is like I say, a paradox.
I'm with Otis. If nobody went it would be game over in Northampton. Stark as that.
The few fans that go, like Jim Brown, Juggy, Kev Monks et al, are obviously very loyal fans but they are being selfish. In the long term it is causing CCFC mortal damage.
Quinny, admire your constructive helpful approach. But Sepalla doesn't care. She's the one that's taken the club out of Coventry. Gone too far now. They will only respond to losing masses of money.
The City fans who attend today are real big culprits in this. They should really think of the big picture. Imagine the media reports of a City match at Sixfields with a crowd of nil. It would go down in history. I make no apologies for saying it but those fans going are really hurting the club.
Money, money, money, all Sisu care about. Him them in the pocket.
If we don't come back this season I'd imagine a new club in Coventry will form. I will hope it doesn't come to that but if it does....

"Threat of a new team" so not actually creating a new team?Besides NOPM, boycotting Sixfields, just the idea, threat of a new team in Coventry would focus the minds of Sisu pretty quickly. Going into another season at Sixfields is not an option for any self respecting CCFC fan.
Anyone supporting NOPM Otis should be able to understand that NOPM should be aimed towards SISU and ACL, a position which the Sky Blue Trust has ignored when they should have remained unbiased they didn't.. They have become an advertising hoarding for ACL IMO.
Don't quite agree Rob.
Can't see how ACL are making any money of any note at all out of a charity match and a CCFC Ladies game.
Pressure does need to be put on ACL and the council to though.
It's not about making money it's about taking an unbiased view and demonstrating a position where the Trust are able to get SISU and ACL to negotiate for the club to return to the Ricoh..
Currently this isn't happening the Trust are just an advertising hoarding.. I would like the Trust to answer the question, Did they campaign so much against the ladies Club playing in Bedworth? They didn't care but as I showed on Friday with an earlier thread, majority of posters showed that Bedworth isn't suitable for our club so why is it suitable to allow the ladies club to play there? There was never no protest or anything else and although the Trust have done reasonably well with there efforts so far, however they have not been consistent, suggesting fans should now boycott Sixfields for the ladies game is more than about money.. It's about being consistent.. Something the trust has failed.
Robo, the trust have consistently attempted to get a meeting with the person from SISU who calls the shots but have not even had a response.
We've done the same with ACL and they have been happy to meet with us on many occasions.
But of course you know all this as we've said it a number of times...
Why should anyone have protested about the ladies playing in Bedworth? I don't get it.
They are a newish club in the scheme of things, have never had a home of their own and have changed grounds on numerous occasions.
They have simply sought any suitable ground where they can play. If they had been kicked out of Coventry it would be different.
