After maintaining our 100% Wembley record in Cup Finals, me and my Dad returned to the coach station, on the way, we were approached by 3 people who noticed our CCFC scarves.
"Coventry, right??!"
One guy didn't know anything about football apart from the guy with 'the big chin'. Another guy was a Swindon fan who was glad we beat their local rivals. The third thought we were Man City fans.
All three wished us well for the season, with the Swindon fan especially expressing concern for our off-pitch issues. On a great day with many memorable sights and sounds, meeting those three Londoners showed me we have friends in the Capital.
