As long as we only sell Juke Box then i think we will be ok in league 1. The team will have been together for a year in Championship and gel better hopefuly. If we can somehow get better board not asking for millions but a little cash and we should be ok or playoffs don't you think?

Clingan, Crannie, Wood, will be gone as well in January. Out best kids will be sold in the Summer, so at best we will be a mid table league 1 team

I agree, we would be a mid table league 1 team. We don't have anything now and will be worse off next year. Relegation would kill us, will not be a new start like people think I'm afraid.

We need to hold onto the kids. Anyone else I don't mind losing.

This team with a couple of signings would be odds on for promotion:

Dunn
Christie Keogh McPake/Cameron Hussey
Bell Bigi Thomas McSheffrey
Platt McDonald

S: Burge, Clarke,, Deegan, Baker, ROD

We'd Need maybe two or three decent squad players and another couple to come through the academy and I'd be happy.

There won't be any re investment in players if we sell... just what we have today. If we don't go down it will truly be our greatest escape. Face facts, we are already effectively 7 points beyond safety. We have only won 2 games all season. We have only scored more the 1 goal on two occasions, we have give away leads in more games than I care to mention, we need to win at least 5 games before New Year to gather some kind of momentum. I just can't see how we are going to get out of this mess.

Players will be sold in Jan and then again in the Summer. This squad will be decimated.

Keogh will certainly be gone, possibly Hussey, Gael and Thomas too. But I think we'll still have Murphy; coming from Scunthorpe, he won't be on huge money, and he's spent plenty of time in L1. Not to mention that as a 'keeper with back-to-back relegations on his CV, would a Championship club want him anyway?

The upshot of that is that McPake and Cameron would be the first choice CB partnership with Baker and Deegan likely to play most games in midfield. If they can stay fit for 5 minutes.

Don't be daft!!

We will have sold the physio's table. It will be Andy Thorn's auntie's sideboard.

No I don't think it harsh - it's not his fault he has been injured so much buy he does seem to be made of glass. In fact he has managed only 36 league appearances out of a possible 125 since he moved here so the assumption is that he will continue to struggle with injuries because he is obviously susceptible to them, just like other players like woodgate have been.

Injured so much?

He's had two serious injuries and niggles whilst making a comeback from a broken back. I would hardly call that made of glass and susceptible to injury.

If the guy was constantly getting lots of different injuries then fair enough. However he isn't so give the guy a break as he is a quality player.

Mid to lower table League One side...

With no funds available when we go down, due to "cost cutting", it will be one hell of a struggle next year as well.

Yes two serious injuries and niggles - this is nothing personal against him but the fact remains he has only managed to play ~25% of the league games since his move nearly 3 years ago. That is a fact. Oh and why are you sticking up for McPake but not Deegan?

My worst fears are relegation with Sisu still at the helm. I can live with relegation only if Sisu go in the process.

The point I am making is there is a world of difference between suffering two serious injuries (both of which were freak injuries) and constantly suffering lots of new injuries. This is why I stick up for McPake.

wonder how many of our players have clauses that allow them to move if we're relegated. after all this about signing up the likes of Sheff and Bell are we sure they will still be here if we go down.

That's a good point!

They will have relegation release clauses at a set fee

the youngsters will have release clauses if a premiership team comes knocking.

Remember ROD is a proven goalscorer i League One, McDonald is only proven in League Two!
