we are now where we deserve to be and this competition should be taken seriously. they say winning breeds confidence so i dont see anything wrong with have a good cup run. i think we could be giant killers in this one

Why do people seem to think we do well in any competition? History tells us we won't. History also tells us we consistently lose to lower league teams.

Also, history tells us that it is more often than not, not one of the fancied sides that wins it.

04–05: Wrexham
2005–06: Swansea Cit
2006–07: Doncaster Rovers
2007–08: Milton Keynes Dons
2008–09: Luton Town
2009–10: Southampton
2010–11: Carlisle United
2011–12: Chesterfield

Giant killers? Which giants would we be killing though?

I agree we should take it seriously, it's just hard to see any success when as a supporter the only thing that's been won in my lifetime I was too young to remember!

I think you may be heading for a big fall here bud. We aren't big fish in a small pond and that's going to hit home big time next season if you think we are

Do yourself a favour and aim your hopes at surviving the first round!

History is just that though. It's what has happened. Nobody can predict the future - but I can take a hell of a good guess that we won't have our name on that cup!!

Well, those winners tell me the bigger sides probably don't take it that seriously and most likely field weakened sides.

Actually, we will be a big team down there. It doesn't mean we're going to walk the league or cup or whatever. But we will be one of the bigger teams down there.

No thanks?! You'd refuse to win it if there was a chance of us doing that?! Is this because we're so successful?!

Big team? We have no money, don't own the ground and are going to have a very small fan base next year:thinking about:

Are those the only things that constitute big teams? Our fan base will probably still be at least double most in the league. So in relation to that league, yes, we will be a bigger team.

Well they might not give it their all but rules are in place to prevent the fielding of severely weakened teams.

In the starting XI, 6 players must have played in the previous league fixture or there must be at least 6 out of the 11 who have made the most starting appearances in league and cup.

As i am sick of the doom and gloom I am going to say F*ck It, why not.

We have as a good a chance as anyone, and until I the whistle has gone and we are out I am going to believe we have a chance!

If I had a choice then I'd take the league championship but I hope we field a decent side every round.

What so a cup run, some large attendances, money from gate recepits, gaining a winning habit, a successfull happy day out at Wembley, and filling our fekking empty Trophy Cabinet is of no interest

I'm sorry guys but no im not interested. Id much rather a day out at wembley for the play offs. Will be lucky if there's 5k in the ricoh for a jpt game. It shows how far we've fallen when fans get excited about that cup/shield/trophy or whatever it is.

It's not about getting excited about the competition, but surely winning football games is better than losing football games?!
