I’ve seen us play Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd all at HR…we didn’t win any of them. Good practice!

In a weird way almost a perfect scenario. We can relax knowing it’s done, but can confirm properly on the pitch. I really do want us to win the title now though. We deserve it and shouldn’t rest until that has been completed.

I've always thought I'd love promotion with anything else a bonus but I want that title now, we've been top of the table for six months so I can't see second place as acceptable.

I'm 71 now and I was aged 13 when we were promoted to the (then) First Division and aged 47 when we were relegated so witnessed 34 years of continuous top flight football.
I'm absolutely delighted for all of the younger generation of Sky Blues fans who now get to see the Club play in the Premier League..... will be a great experience for them!!!

I’m still coming to terms with the fact that we guaranteed a minimum play off spot last week. This is too much, my blood pressure can’t take it.

Seriously though for a minute. I was at Villa Park that fateful day and at times I never thought I would see this day come. Feeling very surreal at the moment, not sure how to feel.

I'm so happy we are gonna be in prem next year but I find it quite easy not to celebrate until it's official personally. Technically we are not promoted.

Once we get that promotion celebration on pitch then the euphoria starts .

For me anyway.

I agree. The proper celebration can be win a draw, but ideally a win against Blackburn. However it’s nice that we can relax.

About time! Hope my old dad is looking down now. On his death bed he asked me was there any chance of not getting relegated again and sadly the had to say no. He took me when I was a young lad and we were best mates. I used to drop him home until he passed at 85 and always hugged him and said see you tomorrow. He would ring me later at 9 pm to see if I was home. “It was a great day Sean we will get there one day”.
I didnt get to see him one day and it broke my heart. My daughter came but was too young to appreciate the day. I’ve moved away but work in Coventry every day and just don’t have the time to come down again at the weekends.
I’ll shed a tear when it’s confirmed

Let’s go on and win the title now, would be a travesty if those cheating tractor shagging bastards won it.

Ipswich could potentially get 93pts if they win all their remaining games. That means we need to get 9 pts from the 4 games we've got left to win the title.
Every time they fail to win a game means we'll need fewer pts to be champions. Let's just keep winning

Its because its been coming for many months and has been expected.

There's absolutely no way its going to carry the same euphoria as, say, beating Wolves in injury time to get to Wembley.

Its more a sense of relief that its done.

I do think Ipswich may well beat us to the title (and to be honest i couldn't give a toss, the job is done now)

I'm not saying that beating Wolves was bigger..... i'm saying it can't have such a huge euphoric impact as its been coming over 3/4 of a season, rather than just one 90 minute game.

You can see it on here daily..... everyone is wanting that "moment" where its sealed.... but we're not really going to get that..... it was more or less done a couple of weeks ago..... today its done (but not mathematically).

As for not being bothered whether we win the league or not.... i stand by that..... fantastic if we do, but is anyone going to call this a "bad season" if Ipswich finish above us? Who cares.

It'd still be an amazing season, but if you're first from October it'd be a sickener to drop to second in May.
