it’s about time mark robins took some of the blame for our abysmal performances of late , we aren’t playing well and it’s been getting gradually worse .
We can talk about absences , injuries and the state of the pitch but both sides every match have the same problems in regards to the pitch .

How about we start asking WHY our style of play has altered so dramatically over the course of the season ????
We are now what I loath , a long ball side and why , because it’s the only way to fit max biamou into the side , we have genuinely sacrificed good football (Luton , Lincoln , Grimsby ) to accommodate a 1 in 28 or so league games striker to the point where it’s now detrimental to the balance of the side , the way we play football and the position in the league table .
Wake up , we are not good at the moment and unless we change something will be sitting here moaning about why we finished 10th in a piss poor league when the evidence is there every time we step on the green .

Shambles , fucking shambles

We have been awful for 90% of the season. I walked away from the Accrington game earlier in the season saying the same things I did today.

We have had 4/5 good games, including MK and Stoke and as a result we have got ahead of ourselves.

No it's because the pitches are shit in L2 home and away so the long ball is adapted over the winter months....

The football on the deck will return when the grass does in L2

It's how we were at the start, nothing going forward. Expecting strikers to work miracles, just no Jones

It's not a case of playing to accomodate Biamou, it's as if we are playing silky football and have creating chances and then suddenly stopped.

We have no way of creating things, nothing gets created and nobody gets a sniff at goal unless McNulty scores from outside the box or a penalty. We can't break teams down.

Accrington came out with a game plan, they picked us apart within the first few minutes (they also picked us apart at their place as well). How often have we done that to teams rather than relying on McNulty, Jones or Nazon to try a shot from outside the box?

We create absolutely nothing for the strikers, you can see when JCH comes on (twice so far) he looks pissed off within about 2 minutes.

Well said. The Marketing Dept must have their brains painted on. It's blindingly obvious to all but themselves that a captive audience like that should be immersed in all things Sky Blue during the entire Ricoh experience. Fuckwits. It's so dispiriting.

Not really, what the OP has said is the truth.

Yes I understand Mark Robins has had injuries, the flu and whatever else to contend with, but our style of play has altered throughout the season, is that partly due to the pitch conditions at the Ricoh, or to add to that the injury of Jodi Jones - regardless its causing a problem!

We’ve been beaten by two sides who want to get down and play Football in Accrington and FGR, we have a really difficult period coming up and need to get back to winning ways quickly.

If I was Mark Robins I’d offer Carl Baker a contract until the end of the season, it cannot do us no harm now as yesterday I saw no confidence in Vincenti and JMD was poor.

JMD and Barrett were both dreadful signings. Neither of them offer anything to the team, and I'm yet to be convinced on JHC too.

Can’t keep playing Vincenti, Nick.

He came on yesterday and offered nothing bar heading the ball and usually into nothing areas.

I was screaming for Kyel Reid to be brought on because he actually run at Accy and got the ball into the box on a couple of occasions, on one occasion Vincenti blazed an effort over the bar.

Baker will offer us something different, like Reid, Baker will want to down the line and look to get crosses in.

Baker isn't fit though and recovered from injury.

Vincenti gets the stick the same as Biamou, he is better with the ball at his feet. All he got when he came on was balls in the air, so not sure what else he was meant to do. He was trying to get us forward and at least showed a bit of urgency and at points was running into space to try and do stuff to then get the ball fired at him in the air.

JMD did well against Stoke, but since hasn’t convinced since, Barrett is being played out of position and it’s unfair to judge him on that.

JCH is getting no service, needs to start from the beginning at Colchester

I had hoped so much more from Vincenti when he signed and he has disappointed me, always played well against us.

He looks so much better when he has the ball to his feet, the game where he got injured he was running the show and put in a great ball for McNulty. It's the same as JCH, he could be the best finisher in the league for all we know but we aren't going to see it if we put the ball 20 foot in the air to him time after time.

I've seen Barrett play twice, MKD and FGR. In both he was dreadful, and in both he played on the left wing.

This is an interview from the CET, AND directly from the horses mouth,

*Barrett started the development game wide on the right but asked what is his favoured or best position, he said: “Preferably on the left side but I can play on the left or the number ten role; wherever I get told to play I will be happy.”*

We don't even play with a number 10 do we? Isn't that just a position that stands there and watches the ball go over their heads to the opposition defenders.
