They are doing really well. Is this the result of Roy Hodgson's tenure coming to fruition or Lee Clarke?

Do you mean Steve Clarke?! He's there at the moment, got to give credit to him.

On the playing side i think it is the result of a line of managers they have had over last 7 or 8 years........... the club seems to have built a decent playing foundation which saw it bounce between championship and premiership then use the funds generated to improve the team and establish themselves as a premiership team. Certainly the right quality of manager helps (btw its steve clarke not lee clarke). It would be hard to argue that the last 4 or 5 managers were not decent in their knowledge of the game even despite relegations

financially despite spending increases on salaries the club is sound making profits in 2010 £500K and 2011 £18m.

A club for us to learn from perhaps ?

on another note consider Bolton Wanderers their debt is £136.5m !

think we already have had the Bolton lesson

No wonder Gartside was trying to get the FA/Prem to abolish Relegation.

Yes of course, Steve Clarke.
As for Bolton I think they are in a worse condition than we were. If they don't get promoted quickly then they will be heading in the same direction we have taken!

Totally agreed about Bolton. Couldn't believe it when I read how much their debt was yesterday. Completely ridiculous amount.

As for Lee Clark, not a great manager in my opinion!

Speaking to a few baggies fans I know they believe Dan Ashworth had a lot to do with the recent success. A well run club, living within their means, dont get too many of them !!!!

I seem to remember not so long ago that there was an article about us highlighting that we were a really well run club, remember at the time I was quite proud that we were moving in the right direction! Shame how things go wrong!!!
