A sub needs at least 15 to 20 mins to iinfluence a game. Last 5 mins and your subs are just to break up momentum and see a game out.

So we make defensive subs 20 mins to late. When we should be making attacking ones.

once again lack of subs has been an issue.

Very good game and it’s really heartening we can compete at this level, we just don’t have the money which buys the quality for some of the decisive moments. I was expecting a real lesson today and we really competed. It’s a steep Learning curve but I would far rather this than being in league two.

I thought today would be our hardest game of the season and if it is, we will be competitive.

To put it in context - Biamou & Walker v Deeney & Sarr

We can't keep doing this. Teams that concede easy goals and penalties while missing chances go down.

unused sub AGAIN and brings on a right wing back and cntral midfielder with a minute to go while losing.

On the whole Watford have a good team and we matched then in terms of play, but that counts for nothing. It's goals scored vs goals conceded that decide games.

Rose needs to start his learning curve soon. Positionally poor, passing ponderous and inaccurate. Not sure McFadz is the answer though.

Another game we could of got points from. Its fine margins. But look where Watford have come from.

We have to learn and stay confident. We have played most the better teams in this first phase of the season.
