Starting it early, sorry nick!

I think we’ll show something here Robins has 2 weeks to work with most the squad and figure out his best 11.
I think we stick it out with the 4231 for now but instead of Rudi in CAM play BTA there as then Simms will have a lot more support and wont be pressing alone, Rudi covers yards but nowhere near the amount BTA does.
I really feel like we should beat these if we want to turn it around and prove that we can actually do a football and win a game with a good performance.
So starting 11 for me is this :

I think Bidwell has been very out of form and the way to keep the left side from being vulnerable is do what we do on the right and keep on the front foot, too many times have we been caught out on that side, we very much need a left sided van Ewijk in January or the Summer could be the difference maker ideal players for me are Jamal Lewis or Harry Toffolo.
RW not sure on Tatsu and whether he’s out injured or not.
I think a convincing 2-0 win where we show truly how good we are.

Watched Watford yesterday and they are a big , physical side . With that in mind I would start Bidwell, Kitching and Thomas

Haji and Lati both have games on Wednesday night, so likely won’t be back until Friday - I think they both may be on bench.

just pray sheaf is fit.

Would really like to see Thomas and Kitching back in.
Might be a bit harsh on Binks as he has been okay so far, but they'd both be my preferred centre pairing

Could well be a blessing, if Robins is forced to drop Latibeaudiere. Hopefully he then sticks with whichever 2 he puts in the for the Watford game.

If Sheaf is not fit. Play Lati in at DM, with Torp, Eccles or Rudoni for the more advanced CM roles. We need more bite in there, and Watford are going to come at us.

Doesnt sound like Saka will be fit either with his foot in a boot

Usually 2-4 weeks for a sprain/soft tissue injury . 4-6 weeks for ligaments or something similar

Dovin

MVE - Thomas - Kitching - Dasilva

Sheaf - Eccles

BTA - Rudoni - EMC

Simms

On the assumptions that:
- Sheaf is fit
- Saka is injured
- Wright and Lati aren't up to starting, but BTA is after their international duties.

Is he out of position?
Seems he played centrally for the Baggies last season as all their other strikers were crocked . He has played many other positions in his career.

One thing we are missing , and it's not suggesting like for like , is O'Hares energy and pressing ability. We don't have many in the squad that have the fitness levels and work rate of BTA currently

After spending Sunday sulking I got our tickets this morning. Tough game as Watford have started the season well.

My team to start Watford if Tats is out and Sheaf ready to start.

Before people worry about midfield being ran over. Team could stay compact holding a high defensive line and a mid block with Norman coming into a ten role to form a 4-4-1-1 if we’re struggling.

Or the wingers can come inverted which allows us a box in midfield.

I think one of the reasons we upped the ante with the squad was so we could rest players coming back from international duty, particularly long-hauls to the USA or Jamaica. Don't know if Sweden are playing, or if Dovin is picked for their squad. Rodriques would have been another long-haul player if not injured.
I suspect not a good time to play Watford who have started well.
We have two weeks to get with the programme.

I’d take James or fleck, bit of experience in there to help us out, still decent players

I know this won’t be the team sheet but this is what I think we could try at some point (or a variation of it), I’d just start the LM and RM higher up the wings that’s all.

I assume Haji would start over Asante most weeks but apparently he might not be available, same for Saka so I’ve put Rudoni in at RM (not sure if that works tbh).

I think Thomas is worth another go, he was decent last season and he can carry the ball well at times, it’s mainly his passing that’s let him down recently. We just need players like him to step up and sort their shit out and we’d have a pretty decent starting 11.

Prepare for none of Sheaf, Tatsu, Lats, Wright to start and no sign of Rodriquez.

If we do this then anything different would be a bonus. The team is struggling everyone can see it and most can see why. But Robins gave a very good interview and has a understanding of what he sees as what the issues are. Patience needed and expectations are going to have be tempered.

I'd take a point today if offered.

Any chance of this going to general sale? I was hoping to get two tickets but so far I’ve only bought tickets for Swansea on the 21st this season

Eccles has been our best performer in the last two games.

Lati is just far too limited on the ball, and I struggle to see what problem he solves? We need quick one and two touch play to progress up the pitch, especially away from home. Not Lati having 8 touches before passing it back to a centre back.

Think I’d go:

Dovin
MvE Thomas Kitching Dasilva
Eccles Sheaf Rudoni
BTA Simms EMC

Flatter midfield, give the wide forwards more freedom. Hope Sheaf changes things.

Followed the Watford game v Sheff Utd, and that Chakvedatze seemed a real handful for them. Don't fancy us for this (anything will be a bonus imo), but without knowing much about Watford's squad, perhaps a few of them may be away on international duty? Take a point all day long, but a 'performance' from those on the pitch is the first thing required.
