Technophobe here. How much Gb of data will my iPhone use to watch the match Frida. Or is that a silly question?

Depends on the resolution you view it at and the compression used TBF.

720p Netflix is about 1GB per hour to give you an idea. So low res 2gb should be enough. If you go HD then quadruple that. If there’s a lower option like 340/270 then less. Can’t remember how low it goes. You’ll need to click the cog then Quality on the stream to change it.

Probably around 500–700 megabytes to watch a match. It does depend on the quality of the stream. HD stream it could go over 1 gb

480p (SD) Netflix is about 1GB per hour to give you an idea. So low res 2gb should be enough. If you go HD then quadruple that. If there’s a lower option like 340/270 then less. Can’t remember how low it goes. You’ll need to click the cog then Quality on the stream to change it.

Something weird probably. What matters is the resolution of the stream not the device. And you change that with the quality setting on the stream.

Is that question directed at Frida or can anyone answer it?

You should definitely budget for 2gb to watch the whole match + half time waffle and post match interview with all our goalscorers.

Booked myself and the GF in for a spa break on Friday, thinking I could get some brownie points in...not looking forward to her reaction when I ask the hotel restaurant to put the game on.

I've probably missed something really obvious but a bit confused by this...
If you're a season ticket/club membership holder, do we need to sign up by midnight tonight? I've just created an ifollow account, but I'm only getting options to buy the game rather than being able to watch for free?

Thanks all, just that I will be stuck in a pub with no WiFi and me the only football supporter.
I will try and get it on my phone, and hope no one asks me to cast it to the tv.

Then they send you an email with the login details you’ll need to watch friday’s game. Then you log into iFollow (on Friday) with your new details and sit there watching it buffer for 90 minutes before you give up and watch it on sky

They’re sending out new logins for each game I believe (new username / password).

I think they’ll go through and link the sub to the ifollow account with the matching email tonight.

I just find it amusing I’ve got my foreign iFollow sub for all games, plus my CCM iFollow home sub and my two kids CCM iFollow subs as well.

I think you might struggle watching it without wifi. I got an audio pass for the QPR one, only problem being you have to trust Clive is getting the players names right...

Save 2gb, should be plenty, also on the question of your phone quality, iPhone 6/8 all run at 720p unless changed in settings iPhone x + run at 1080p straight out the box but you can i belive on the 11s turn it up to 1440p.
