Watching football (1 Viewer)

I wanted to talk about football for a change and I know this isn't going to be about us but wanted to know others thoughts on different teams. After our great win today (wasn't there sadly) and the subsequent thoughts of who I would like in the 4th round, it got me thinking about the fact that I have missed watching football because of our crap situation. In recent times I have not bothered with the premier league and match of the day etc because of how commercial the game has become and the way the supposed big players of our time conduct themselves. However, as I said without being able to get my fix watching Cov, I have found myself watching football on TV again and was just wondering what(if any) other teams you enjoy watching, I myself have enjoyed the likes of Everton, Southampton and especially Arsenal. Like or loathe Wenger, he knows how to get a team playing football and after watching them beat Spurs tonight I would love for them to win the Premier League rather than Chelsea, Man City or Man U. Think Martinez is an underrated manager too, would love for Everton to finish higher than Man U.

Yep, Everton, Arsenal, Southampton and Man City have all been great to watch this season.

Further afield, Napoli, Roma, Bayern, Atletico and Mönchengladbach have all been a joy to watch as well.

Football to me is having an emotional tie to the team you're watching. Take that away and it loses pretty much everything for me.
I'm with Brian Clough, I'd ban cameras from grounds 95% of the time.
We have whole generations of 'football fans' who rarely if ever go to games. Just armchair fans.
Years ago there was a magic about football grounds. Reading in the Pink about White Hart Lane, Highbury, Old Trafford, Maine Road, St James Park, Stamford Bridge etc, there was an air about them. Now you can see these places (sort of) all the time.
I guess that's progress.
The odd game I've seen on tv is like watching paint dry.
CCFC playing in Coventry (not the area) & having an emotional tie with them, will do for me.
