Why does everyone think SISU are just gonna give up and fook off? They have relegated us, sold anyone of value, threatened liquidation, took us 35 miles away, legal action after legal action, lost out on the Ricoh and they are fooking still here!!!! I don't think they are just gonna walk away and wasps ain't got the money to buy us for what sisu would want

If anything i think sisu will be waiting for wasps to fail. If they don't get the crowds, and to make it work they need 20k attendances, they will be in big trouble

My money is on CCFC not getting the crowds, not building a stadium, not getting enough of the F + B, parking revenues etc.. And Wasps doing good PR, playing well and at the end of the day outlasting SISU. Only conjecture of course, but based on respective performances to date. If CCFC get relegated, then SISU will have to review the situation. The income will drop even further and I don't know how their stadium investors, if they have any, will react to financing a project for a league 2 , and falling , football club. At this moment in time, it doesn't look good for SISU. Or us.

It does make you wonder if Wasps' venture goes disasterously wrong and they go bust, then what?

Wasps have tried for many years to get a home 'where they live' and have not had any success. They went close to finishing altogether only a few years ago.
Only time will tell if this is a successful route for them.

Sisu did indeed distress ACL so if there was a choice of Sisu or 'someone else' it was always going to be 'someone else'.
If I owned the Ricoh there would be no way I would put it in the hands of the incompetent (proven) SISU.
CCFC will never own a stadium in the medium term and will continue to rent for many years to come. You do understand why don't you ?

Wasps may not be ideal but it reality for CCC and it's rate payers it was the only option and it needed to be snapped up.

So you unequivocally endorse the Wimbledon move to MK based on the information you have just said.

I think they will give up eventually as they can't keep funding the losses, if money were limitless for them then we'd still be in Northampton.

Where does the 20k attendance figure come from?

That's an analysis if their business position that's childishly simple. Also a remarkably cynical view of their view of CCFC. You think they'd shaft the club with high rent and no revenues, resulting in small gates, more relegation and us moving out? Or would they structure a deal that would enable the football club to flourish - from which they too would benefit? You don't know, do you?

The concept that the better CCFC do the better Wasps do (and vice versa) is too much for many on here to grasp. It is in Wasps’ best interests to do all they can to ensure that CCFC is successful. Success is intrinsically linked between the two clubs.

There is a great opportunity here for a beneficial mutual co-existence. It is up to Sisu to co-operate and work with Wasps for the best possible arrangements and outcome. Trouble is – given Sisu’s track record - I wouldn’t hold my breath in that happening.

People need to get this idea out of their heads that the Ricoh is our entitlement, exclusively ours and has been robbed from us from an entity that is hell-bent on screwing us over. It isn’t.

Apart from sharing the pitch with another sporting team, nothing has fundamentally changed prior to Wasps taking control of ACL. In fact, I would argue that in terms of stadium tenancy, the club is in a better place now than it was previously, only time will tell.

The idea of building a new stadium is a non-starter and too ludicrous to contemplate.

Correct in part , SISU will never give up cus this fracas has cost them 20 - 50 million,. Unfortunately the can tread water with freebies and low wages. However Wasps will not fail , they will get the crowds , there is a big appetite for something like this at a first class stadium in the Warks area. Our only hope is a deal with Wasps

What deal you looking at there then buster? Wasps buy us? I can't see that happening.

Regarding a rent deal, i think the only way it can be any better is to be rent free, the club have access to matchday revenues, but that also isn't going to happen

The last hope of SISU being able to sell us went when the stadium got given to wasps. I just cant see where the club goes from here apart from down and people are lording it up on here thinking wasps is a good thing for CCFC and they will help us. Will they bollox!

Why would I as a CCFC fan be bothered?

Love it how someone mentions 20,000 required by Wasps and people take it on board as fact.
Just like 23,000 was required for CCFC yet evidently (TF) we are now cash positive on 7,000.

Hopefully Sisu now know they won't get the Ricoh cheap and will piss off.

Do you think Wasps will be better off to have a football club on board or whether it would be better for them if we moved on ?

Sorry if I’m being obtuse here BA, but if Sisu got hold of the stadium and then sold the club, the club would then be tenants at the mercy of stadium owners Sisu. Tell me how this scenario would benefit the club?

I see that moral compass you are so keen to tell everybody is playing up, I'd take it back to the pound shop.

Because Sisu could have then sold the Club on the cheap while keeping hold of the Ricoh hence staying on as landlords..

Unfortunately some just don't see it and think Sisu have the Club at heart.

It's nonsense that the stadium would ever belong to CCFC.
At best the stadium would belong to the owners of CCFC.

It's better business sense to keep each entity separate just in case the club folded and took the stadium with it.
In that respect we will always rent in some form.

Really? Think it through and you'll find it really is fanciful and wishful thinking at best. I don't think you even believe it yourself, the words "suppose" and "could" spring to mind.

That's partly true. After all Wasps don't own Ricoh but MGI Fiduciary Services (Malta) do.

But Wasps are part of the MGI stable and it's clear MGI see their rugby franchise as part of their profit hopes, as they also see the Ricoh for the same thing.

SISI have been pushed out completely. I'm sure they can't afford to build a stadium of their own. Which is why I fear they will sell the CCFC ''brand'' (and FL Golden share) as a franchise elsewhere, possibly Brum.

I didn't say I'd believe it could happen...it obviously won't. It wasn't beyond the realms of fantasy though. Factually...it could've happened. Correct? SISU by the stadium from ACL/CCC and then sell stadium and CCFC to new owners. That could've happened. That's ALL I'm saying.

Why would SISU sell their golden share to some group in Brum ( wouldnt be permitted anyway ) and not to Wasps with their own stadium ? Or is this a wind up.

The council are not there for football, they are there for the ratepayers.
7000 fans, not all from Coventry, on 23 occasions a year should not be considered ahead of 300,000 Coventrians.
Love it how you pick up on some spurious comment and generalise on it as if those that have moved on fell for it.

What do you think they should do while an asset owned by them is stressed in an attempt to get it for nothing by withholding rent and then removing the club altogether to Northampton?

Should they wait for SISU to make a sensible offer?
Should they give it away and allow SISU to take it over and then rent it back to CCFC?
Or do they take the only other option available to them, one that is only available for a limited period of time?

?
