Do you really think SISU are that cute that they'd have known about it?. Perhaps you think more of them than I do?

I didn't know, apparently Byng did though and was telling people. Who knows?

Bit of a sudden rush back wasn't it?

Didn't really answer the question about it being temporary though did it?

It wasn't said it was permanent, formally it was only temporary. If it did become formally permanent I am pretty sure a lot of people who went to Sixfields would have other ideas. (I would for sure).

Even if they didn't know who's to say CCC and Higgs didn't rush to get the club back. Maybe Wasps wanted us there, maybe Wasps thought buying our ground while we were in Northampton might actually get people upset.

When was this? Before or after October 8th?

It is the same as RFC saying the new stadium is coming. Unless you are going to back it up?

What a choice, a hedge fund who bull shits fans, happily moves clubs away from their home, albeit temporarily and a hedge fund who bull shits fans and happily moves clubs away from their home permanently.

I'm tempted to say give it a go it couldn't be any worse but I've been a supporter long enough to know it can always get worse.

The Sixfields deal was only ever temporary I'm not arguing that. The move out of the City was being sold as permanent. You had no idea like the rest of us what would happen next. Why did you willingly take the risk of rubber stamping a permanent move to god knows where for the club you love not only by our owners but also football's governing bodies?

At the time it was temporary, I didn't rubber stamp anything. I went to watch the team I support play as at the time it was a temporary move, if it suddenly became permanent I wouldn't have ever gone. It isn't hard to grasp is it.

I agree, I am not a mind reader so couldn't predict the future but while the move was temporary they were still my club. The second the "We are staying here" or "we are moving to Belfast etc" announcement happened they wouldn't be so I wouldn't go.

Turns out it was temporary though, glad I didn't listen to the scare mongering about us never ever coming back.

RFC just hang's on TF's every word. No one (well accept for BHSB) has claimed publicly that Wasps have made a bid and certainly no one connected to CCFC or Wasps has. So this is nothing like what RFC does.

Is it just a rumour? Who knows. But like BHSB points out, an investigative journalist could do some digging. Failing that they could always just report on the rumour and see if they can flush statements out of either/both club's denying or confirming.

You categorically new that the move out of Coventry was temporary? Not the move to Sixfields, the move out of Coventry? It's a distinct difference.

As for the scare mongering about never coming back, that was SISU.

It wasn't categorically announced or confirmed it wasn't temporary was it? If they ever bought land and started building a stadium in Birmingham then yes. If they said we are staying in Northampton forever then yes.

While I went to watch it was temporary, if that had changed I wouldn't have gone to watch as I said at the time.

It turns out it was temporary though, hence it is different to wasps isn't it? That isn't temporary.

He's been in the industry for 8 years according to his CET profile. Also he spends all his time talking to Wasps - Should have asked the question surely.

You didn't know it was temporary at the time. You can only say that with hindsight, something you didn't have at the time. The move away from Coventry was being promoted as permanent and you chose to gamble with the club you love. Why?

Presumably you also think LR should have already asked the same question of SISU for the same reason?

It was only ever promoted as a permanent move away from Ricoh. Not once was it promoted as a permanent move away from the city of Coventry.

Wrong.

It was only ever promoted as a temporary move to Northampton followed by a permanent move away from the City to a new location with sound bites like "Anne Lucas won't let us build in the city"

You can try and spin that anyway you like but the fact is SISU moved us away from the City and said we're never coming back.

Yes, I did know it was temporary at the time. That's why I said while it's temporary I'd go, the moment it's not I wouldn't.

It's really not hard to grasp.

The move was temporary as that was all the FL granted permission for. The club had to agree a return to the 'Coventry area'. If they didn't the golden share could be revoked.

If the club do ever build a new stadium it won't be in the city unless CCC rewrite the city plan. CCC have already confirmed to the CT that there is no possible site for a stadium within the city boundary.

Frankly I have zero issues if Fisher says a new stadium is being built somewhere like Ansty Park, the other side of the motorway from the Ricoh, Brandon, Warwick Uni, the airport, Ryton or any other site relatively close to the city. If he announced we were doing something similar to Wasps and moving 100 miles away it would be very different.

You knew the move away from the City was temporary? How?

Have SISU talked to CCC about building a new ground in the City?

richardson confirms in the CT today that he has absolutely no interest in buying us. Also rules out us buying a share in ACL. From what his interviews in the CT have said in the last few days I think there is zero chance of getting a better deal than we're on now, if anything we'll struggle to extend on the same terms.

I agree with 90% of what you say, just don't think it is down to CCC policy if they can build in the city. The land is not CCC's to give away it is mainly owned by others. The cost of land will be determined by use, industrial seems about 600K per acre as per Ryton , housing seems about 1Million per acre. Any planning application cannot be simply dismissed by CCC but I think that the governing factor will be the cost of the plot that they want to purchase. And demanding that CCC re categorise land with outline housing permission to accommodate a new stadium would only bring endless appeals from investors who feel they will have lost out.

SISU do not have the money or land to do anything at present
