It would be common sense however how often do regulatory authorities in charge of sport exhibit any common sense?

We know that the rugby premiership is prepared to schedule around the PL and FL. We know this as it is a requirement of the PL and FL for clubs to have primacy so its the only way groundshares are possible and there are several clubs who make use of this.

Can't think of any example of the same applying with Premiership and National League sides. I suspect the Wasps fixtures will be set first and Coventry will be left with the job of trying to get fixtures moved they clash. If those in charge are prepared to schedule to avoid clashes you can be sure it would have been mentioned rather than a vague promise to minimise the impact.

It's not impossible to plan everybody to play on Saturday with CRFC playing when Wasps are away. Surely ?

[h=1]Season Ticket Packages – Fixtures Clarification[/h] [h=3]As the Season Ticket Package renewal window is now open, we would like to let you know that the club will be expressing a preference for Saturday home games for the 2015/16 season.[/h] However, as is always the case, TV scheduling and potential clashes with other events will mean that some games will be on Sundays.

The club’s preference to elect Saturday for home fixtures next season is in order to give the team the best chance of success on the field, as it’s less likely to result in a five or six day turnaround, given most teams opt to play on Saturdays.
There is also a strong case for Saturday games as it helps to free up Sundays for supporters involved in minis rugby and enables fans to enjoy the match day experience fully, without having to rush home for work or school on Monday.
Saturday games would be subject to a number of factors, including football fixtures, which are released prior to rugby fixtures and rugby fixtures would fit around these dates.
TV picks would also mean kick-off times might change and a Sunday slot could be allocated, particularly in Europe, or very rarely a Friday slot if Coventry City weren't playing on Saturday.
The club will work with the RFU and Premiership Rugby to, where possible, minimise the risk of Wasps’ home games clashing with Coventry RFC.

Wasps have already informed Coventry RFC of the intention to play on Saturdays and both clubs are keen to work together to try to avoid clashes where possible.
The final fixture list for every club in the Aviva Premiership is determined by Premiership Rugby, who will have already taken into account ground availability and police and local authority advice.
We appreciate we can’t please everyone - some supporters will prefer Saturdays for home games, while others will prefer Sundays, but we very much hope we will see you at the Ricoh Arena supporting Wasps, as we aim to continue our rise up the Aviva Premiership table next season.
Thank you for supporting Wasps.

Bit like when CRFC had been fully consulted about Wasps being moved here despite them not knowing anything about it!

The part about Wasps potentially playing a Friday night when we've got a game on the Saturday is concerning.

Not being funny but if the Rugby authorities couldn't care less about thousands of Wasps fans in London and Wycombe being abandoned by the club there would seem to be very little hope that they will be bothered if one of CRFC's fixtures clash.

I might have to read it again but I'm sure it said they would only play games on the Friday if we didn't have a home fixture that weekend.

But they also said they would play on Sundays because of us and CRFC. So, don't believe a word...

Maybe they'll just try and minimise the chances of that happening!

I think we are. Problem being the only hedge fund that's distressed CCFC is the one that currently owns it.

Ah, the old flip-flop routine. I will believe Fisher when it suits (we will never come back), even though it was stated it was for three years (maybe five) and then they would come back to the "Coventry area". New stadium?Nah, won't believe that one.

Coventry City were NEVER going to stay at Sixfields permanently. Wasps have moved permanently. There is absolutely ZERO correlation between the City and Wasps situations.

And I have never, ever said there is, Torch.

It was promoted as permanently away from Coventry by our owners.

Where was it said it was a permanent move? I thought our owners were liars? It was promoted as fact by some people we would never be back, sisu fc etc.

It was a temporary move to sixfields, if it was full time I'd never have gone. Turns out I was right.

You sometimes say weird things like you believe Wasps should change the colour of the seating, then cite the new stadium as the reason yet you've just said you don't think it is happening.

Then when I said by changing the seating you risk upsetting some of there new fan base (and target fan base) as they have a lot of new fans from Coventry and will almost certainly have had some sort of affiliation with Coventry City over the last 5 years (and certainly more than they had Wasps). You said I was talking nonsense.

What's weird about saying Wasps should change the seating? I have only and I repeat, only said that, based on the one single fact of our owners saying they have no intention of staying here and that comment is only from a Wasps perspective.

If Sisu didn't say that they are leaving, I would be fighting tooth and nail to keep the sky blue seating. All I am saying is, of that from a Wasps point of view. If CCFC are leaving then Wasps should change the seating.

Maybe I didn't word it correctly, but there is nothing weird about it at all I would say.

These threads and the recent interviews with Derek Richardson are difficult I know for you and others who back Wasps over their own club. He's finally admitted why Wasps moved to the Ricoh. Money. He said that a team cannot survive without owning it's own stadium and 365 revenue. You may have to go for a lie-down.

You do have to ask why, having been burned by no other option than SISU (untrue) and no other option than build the Ricoh (untrue), there is a desire from some quarters to reduce down again an action to no other option... when that statement is untrue.

When was this?

Surely if it was common knowledge it would have been leaked by people not wanting owners who bullshit and move teams about who are outraged by the thought of it?

You can fuck off with the "you believe TF when it suits" bullshit. Whether I believe him or not has nothing to do with it. He's the man apparently in charge and HE moved the club out of Coventry and then told us we were relocating to never never land outside the City.

You might have been happy to go to Sixfields and give him the mandate to do this but I wasn't. You only have to look at how the maverick the decision to pursue the JR to see that we are not owned by people who make good decisions and if we'd have turned up to Sixfields 7000 strong we'd have run the risk of saying "well this was a bluff but the fans are buying into it so lets look seriously at it". Think about that for a minute? A bluff that became a reality. Describes the JR perfectly IMO. I bet they're still cursing that judge who (for reasons no other judge seems to understand) said "you know what, there might be something in this. Yes you've won your appeal here's a date for the JR". The other danger in attending Sixfields was the FL/FA going "you know what, them Coventry fans don't mind travelling to home games. Fuck it, SISU can build the stadium where they want". Think about that for a minute. The FL and the FA, two more organisations not known for making sensible decisions.

Why so touchy? It quite obviously was temporary wasn't it, hence we aren't playing there now, and it was never ever confirmed as a permanent move.

Let's be quite clear. I do not back Wasps just because I realise that they are going nowhere and SISU are never going to build a new ground. You seem to be having difficulty with that and I feel for you because that is the reality of where we are.

tbf whilst I wouldn't jump at the prospect it would still probably be better than our current predicament

Unambitious owners who have no stadium and no principles

or

Owners who own a stadium in Coventry, have shown ambition over the last 4 months but also have no principles
