Yes but they have done it so that it isn't wasps fault now.... Not much different to when they were trying to take on the higgs site.

Interesting that it is now reported a two year deal was agreed as well.

So to sum up:
Wasps say legal action must be stopped
Legal action stops
Two year deal agreed
Wasps change the requirements to 'all proceedings surrounding acquisition and ownership of the Ricoh'

Absolute c**ts. That has never been the requirement.

Interestingly Reid is reporting that the EC is investigating which suggests to me they aren't dismissing it out of hand and feel there is something that requires investigation. Again I'm not comfortable with blackmail being used to avoid scrutiny of the actions of public bodies using taxpayers money.

Gilbert has been played like a fiddle and in his desperation to get some sort of 'exclusive' and get one over on Reid he hasn't stopped to think why he's being fed certain information or the damage making it public could do.

I think there are people involved in this carry on who expect us to be at the Ricoh next year under new ownership.
They're playing Russian roulette with the club's future to stroke their own fucking egos.
As for sisu, they should have been transparent regarding this complaint, if indeed they weren't.
I don't believe anything anyone says.

Looks that way. This is now the third occasion they've given the appearance of being willing to do a deal only to pull out at the last minute.

SISU have stopped legal processes as requested! EC will investigate in their own right and not at the Behest of SISU, in fact anyone who looks to have broken state aid rules in Europe will get investigated! after all this shite i hope the city fans start to demonstrate outside the RICOH on saturday

Rightly or wrongly, I am moving towards this position. If Wasps/Council have done nothing wrong, then why should they be worried about anything the EU might have a look at. It should be an irrelevance. It would be more damning if a 'ground deal' agreement could prevent an investigation into an activity (whether it proved to be legal or illegal). The timing/excuse for pulling out stinks.

I'm probably the least violent person you could ever wish to meet but you can only push people so far. At this point I would have no issue with anyone taking things into their own hands be that disrupting matches, taking back bricks etc.

They've had enough warnings and have chosen to ignore them.

Odd that Gilbert doesn't just run with the story like he does when the other side feed him information.

So Simon Gilbert has effectively made us homeless. Probably so he can write another 'bestseller' off the back of it.

Exactly, they had no intention of doing a deal. First hint was the club mentioning hurdles days after people were saying a deal was agreed.

Why wouldn’t Sisu have made Wasps aware of this back in February?

If there was evidence to back up that claim there's no way Gilbert would run it he's talking shit

Whatever anyone thinks Gilbert is there's one thing he definitely isn't and that's a Cov supporter.

London wasps never had any intention on ever doing a deal did they. This has been the perfect excuse for them. It’s not any form of legal action that their claiming it to be.

If not, they can join me and magwitch outside the wheatsheaf.

What exactly do London Wasps want though? If you take their excuse at face value they don't want any investigation into the Ricoh to be ongoing. Sisu cannot stop the EC from doing its work. They will only do a deal if we could go back in time and stop things that are already in motion? It's such an obvious excuse to cover their own backs and I can't believe people have fallen for it.

If it comes off then fair enough because sisu are quite clearly ready to mire the club in another long winded dispute and I'm pissed off with it but I think they're putting the club's existence in jeopardy.

Well that's us groundsharing it would seem. My assumption is that Wasps see this as tantamount to 'legals' because a possible outcome of any investigation is that they'd have to repay any aid received.

They're all a bunch of twats.

Really feel we should be doing something creative/legal to become a boil on the backside of W*sps / Council if this continues.
There probably is one - I vaguely remember Grendel starting one? - but we need a suggested 'action' thread. I know there will be differing groups/opinions, but we ought to be able to come up with some nuggets, aside from the crude 'slap a Wasp' ideas!
Even suggestions of actions at Wasps games would increase their security costs (as an example)
Bombarding the council with letters to read/answer would tie them up.
We can make their lives a misery if so we choose. i have time on my hands, just over half a brain, and am fairly creative - I'm up for it (but it has to stay legal, otherwise you alienate public support)

Have said that for months. If the club goes tits up then a new club can play there, it's no skin off their nose.

Strange nobody is asking more questions about things like that.

See this is the quandary I'm in
On one hand I agree, on the other I don't want to support sisu taking us out of the city because they could end all this and concentrate on sorting the club out.

I didn't realise it was possible to hate both sides in a dispute so much. Jeopardizing our clubs future while they carry out their pissing contest. And as for that shower of utter cunts at the council and the lackey Gilbert, there are no words.
