Eastwood using the European Commission complaint as a get out of jail free card. How predictable.

Interesting that is now anything to do with the ricoh sale and not just if it involves them directly.

Looks like it was done that way so the blame didn't lie with them.

Very predictable, let's see what happens with ground share news

Surely an outline of the deal Wasps proposed can now be released by SISU, to back up that it's Wasp's fault?

Gilberts been completely played here and the club and its fans are the ones who will suffer.

The complaint to the EC is not legal action so should have no impact on staying at the Ricoh. Absolute disgrace from Wasps.

Surely now the Trust have to move quickly and organise a strong protest against them this weekend.

Swear words....now tell me where we are playing so I can get my season ticket. Disingenuous pesky ins£cts can do one. Why enter talks. Hope they go t*ts up as quickly as possible. Cov City Council can do one too(at least those involved in this)

Why dont Wasps just fuck off.
We all knew that our club would be hamstrung for 250 years because of the sale of our stadium to Wasps. It's now coming to fruition.
Well done Coventry City Council. Our club will now be playing outside the city again thanks to these cretins.

Get season tickets on sale for wherever we are, I'll buy two. I'm not letting this club be destroyed by an out of town franchise. Fuck them.

I'm sure both SISU and the club will respond in due course. Due to the NDA's I'm unsure what they will be able to disclose to the public though.

I'll struggle to travel to most games unless we do end up at the Butts or Rugby which I doubt but I'll be getting a season ticket anyway.

It says a lot about our local media that having done a deal with the council to supress the ACL bail out paving the way to Wasps takeover they have once again managed to fuck the club over by dropping this out no questions asked to allow Wasps to kick us out while everyone points the finger at SISU.

Not sure you'd get away with it in other cities.

It's as if people like orca, the random Australian, the one called CW, the council bloke from the trust with all the accounts remembered they were city fans again.

Standard lead up to something, same old tactics.

The trust still haven't acknowledged one of their board members being all over it.

I wonder if Hoffman will rear his head? Especially since an article in the telegraph said one of his backers owned a rugby club.

I garantee that if the trust do anything this weekend it will be against sisu.

My feelings against the London Wasps owners and sympathisers shouldn't really be expanded upon but if I see any of them we're both fucked.

Is it even possible for a complaint to be withdrawn? I’ve had a look on the website and can’t see any procedure for this but you presume there would be. Even so I doubt Sisu would withdraw this for talks to continue therefore groundshare it is and with no prospect of a new home been built anytime soon situation looks bleak.

SISU have stopped legal processes as requested! EC will investigate in their own right and not at the Behest of SISU, in fact anyone who looks to have broken state aid rules in Europe will get investigated! after all this shite i hope the city fans start to demonstrate outside the RICOH on saturday

State aid online complaint form – European Commission

This is the claim form assuming this is what they've used.

Some information here about timescales. Wasps are playing dumb if they are claiming they didn't know about it.....

EUR-Lex - 52018XC0719(01) - EN - EUR-Lex

Publication of the decisions and meaningful summaries

48.

The Commission endeavours to publish its decision to open the formal investigation procedure (‘opening decision’), together with a meaningful summary (27) within 2 months of its adoption in cases where the Member State does not ask for confidential information to be removed from the decision.
49.

Where there is disagreement between the Commission services and the Member State about removal of confidential information from the opening decision, the Commission will apply the principles of the Communication on professional secrecy (28) and will publish the decision as soon as possible after its adoption (29). The same practice applies to the publication of all final decisions (30).

Interested parties, including the beneficiary of the aid, may comment on the opening decision within 1 month of its publication (31). The Commission services will, in principle, not extend that deadline or accept submissions after it has passed (32). The Commission services can grant an extension only in exceptional and duly justified cases, for example if the interested party intends to submit particularly voluminous factual information or if there has been contact with the interested party before the deadline expires.
