This stuff about a name change for the stadium is odd. Of course it's going to change, why wouldn't it. They aren't going to keep calling it Ricoh Arena after the naming rights expire!

Makes perfect sense for @WaspsRugby to just be called Wasps,not Coventry wasps.Can appeal to a wider Midlands fan base that way.

Makes perfect sense for us too, because we don't want our name anywhere near that club.

Why don't the owner of wasps say to sisu here's a few quid for ccfc, I'd like to run them also. We have total revenue streams then an a world class home hopefully with cash injection to playing side. Just a thought.

current crowds around 5k
Expects only around 1k to travel to Coventry (this is similar to % of ccfc fans who went to northampton - so probably about right)

They are relying on attracting local support

With local rugby fans following Cov and Leicester - really cannot see that happening any time soon

It is an interesting one - but unless wasps rebrand/merge with Cov - can see them being swatted away

Personally speaking, for me that day is never going to happen. This is a franchise team from London, taking over our home.

The way I'm feeling now, they can have the f*cking place and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Much as I like rugby, I'll never set foot in there to watch Wasps. As long as they own it, I don't really want to go there to watch football either. I wish the franchise nothing except abject failure I'm afraid.

I know SISU f*cked up in an epic way, and I know that's led to all of this. But that still didn't give the Council and Higgs Trust the right to sell us down the river, and worse, to a franchise!

I detest SISU, and the new stadium idea has clearly been bullshit from the off. But now the club has had its hand forced, let's get the hell away from the current and future clowns running ACL, and start really thinking about somewhere (ideally in the city) that does belongs to the club. It would be good if SISU f*cked off too at some point.
