Maybe if he gets the club as well, we’ll follow the same trajectory as Newcastle and in 10 or so years time we will be owned by an oil rich nation?

Putin's going to be looking to rehabilitate himself at some point over the next few years. And we used to have a big tractor factory here... I'll let you join the dots.

It’s clever what he’s doing. Means he will get planning permission for warehouses, offices, crate jobs etc… council and locals will embrace it. In the meantime he wants bit of a hobby and the club would be complimentary to his empire building in the city.

It doesn't work like that

I’m not sure that’s how it works….

If it is, hope you’re ready for a couple more seasons in League One!

I don't wish the bloke ill. I've met or spoken to a few councillors and individually they all seem entirely pleasant (except Maton, he's a cock).

However as a group they make terrible decisions, imho. Anyway, this is for another thread perhaps, sorry...

The only thing that puts me off MA is he was very quick to sack managers and it never seemed to improve their situation so it begged the question why. Although I’d be delighted if we had the transfer budget that Newcastle had I’m not sure who was behind recruitment but I don’t rate them, Newcastle seemed to buy a lot of average premier league players but pay transfer fees that in my mind would indicate that they should have been better than they were. Yo yoing between the premier league and championship only seems to confirm my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong, he’d be a massive improvement on our current owners. I just hope he puts some faith in Robins and Viveash and leaves the day to day running and recruitment of the team to them. I have more faith in them than I do the managerial roundabout at Newcastle and the recruitment policy at Newcastle.

Lads the club is already distressed I'm not sure why anybody thinks Ashley would need to actively distress it. It has net liabilities and is reliant on owners providing cashflow.

Just allowing Robins to sign a couple of decent loanees in January without having to “move” someone on first would be a bonus.

Imagine being in a situation where next time we produce a Maddison or Wilson they haven’t got to leave us to carry on with their football journey.

I think the notion of it taking ages to buy two entities is misguided too. Ashley will be involved but he will have his lawyers working on details and will have a manager with a budget in mind to negotiate.

He could have easily had one team working on ACL and one working on SISU.

SISU's silence also shouts NDA to me, if they speak people will want to know about club sales so they really have nothing to add.

For anyone who can’t be arsed with the 100’s of adds getting in the way

“Arena Coventry Limited (ACL), Arena Coventry (2006) Limited and IEC Experience Limited have confirmed that they have applied to the Court for the Companies to be placed in administration. We anticipate that the administration orders will be made in the forthcoming weeks. The Companies and the proposed administrators from FRP Advisory have run an accelerated sales process to sell the business and assets of the Companies and have identified a preferred bidder.

The Arena will continue to trade as normal. We would like to thank all the working parties involved in helping the Companies get to this stage and we are delighted that the doors will remain open to this flagship venue.”

Look on the bright side we will be playing the next 2 home games at the CBS and then we can forget about the situation and moan about England for a bit by then it will be well on the way to being sorted.

Our home games are safe until the international break then just as Robins predicted on CWR post match interview. Sounds like now it’s coming to the crunch MA is the only show in town.

My stance that nobody really cares about but I'm giving it you anyway .

- i know Mike ashley didn't please the geordie support , but we are different clubs with different aspirations that have been taken in different directions , I just want to take my kids to Anfield for a league game whereas they want to play in Europe.

-il be gutted if from all this , we don't end up with new ownership and it's as you were effectively

When do they confirm who the buyer is?

Will the list of creditors still need to be put on companies house if it's administration?

Dont want to be the bearer of bad news

'Something changed overnight'

'Sisus plan of admin then pennies in the pound with their investor has gone tits up'

'Its 100% true SISU and Ashley havent had any contact'

Il ask for more when he knows more

But if it is Ashley and hes only buying the stadium, we're royally and completely fucked. He will distress SISU as much as possible if he wants us on the cheap.

We all know Joy wont think twice on moving us/ winding us up

This isnt going to end well as it stands this morning

I'd try and go in with an open mind but he'd have to prove himself after the shady fuckers he's been involved with.

He believed Dale Evans ffs.

I still don't believe it. Gilbert's source is at the council, why would they know about any contact between Ashley and sisu?

What is his interest in running a stadium? Never done it before without a football club which he has already tried to get back into ownership of.

It'll come together.
