Who's being attacked? You on about that bickering yesterday?

Funny really, all you ever tell people is they are making up conspiracies and tin foil hat?

People expecting the council to do the right thing have missed the last 10 years , plus their recent business acquisitions plus their absurd treatment of staff on strike ... up there with the worst councils in England? Up there surely

I can accept the previous anger in regards to the owners not buying the arena when they should have .

Let's also not forget the dodgy council , who have their hands in many dodgy pies already .

We've never owned the stadium .

To be angry at our owners because wasps and ACL are going bust is a new strange tbh

Wouldn’t directly blame them for this but looking at the last few years as a whole, I don’t think they’re squeaky clean in the latest facade.

So much could’ve been avoided by so many parties.

Can a match go ahead without the services of those suppliers? A match could surely go ahead without catering for example, although I appreciate it might not be ideal, particularly for those with executive seats. The absolute musts are stewards, but is there any one else whose services provided to ACL would prevent a game from taking place?,

Insurance and health and safety certificate. I believe that both are in the owners name.

True but let's flip it ..

Had we new owners after wasps purchase of the lease , the exact same thing would be happening now mate and the council would ultimately be the one that when you roll it back , fucked the football club over for 250 years

The sale of the stadium to wasps was a disaster by our council

Mate for someone who calls everything that moves a plant and a mole you’re being spectacularly naive here. All he does is attack people who dare question the owners. “LOL do you want Hoffman?”.

He’s either doing it on instruction or because he’s so enamoured with Sisus plans he thinks it’s worth it. Either way he’s not on the fans side is he? Put up or shut up quite frankly.

Sick of all the fucking bollocks. If the game Tuesday doesn’t happen in Cov yes I will apportion some blame to the people who have spent a decade trying to make the arena go pop and seemingly have no actual plan for if their strategy worked.

It’ll be almost three seasons of disruption to one of the best sides we’ve had in my lifetime to apparently buy a dilapidated stadium that doesn’t make money. I know it’s all about vendettas with local politicians for you, but I’m here for the football.

That's the thing, as soon as the council did that they tried to put a nail in the football clubs coffin and knew full well.

People said it at the time while the trust were going on about it being great for the city. Cunts.

And our predicament is a bigger story than wasps getting relegated because, in general, rugby isn't very interesting.

What would actually need paying for on a match day that we don't already pay for? We already pay everyone on the CCFC side obviously, and we pay for stewards and policing. We supply ground staff, although there is also ground staff employed by ACL I'm sure we could manage without them. The f&b is all outsourced and if the currently providers don't want to do it we can have a match with the food outlets shut (just put a few burger vans outside) and get Dhillons to run the bars.

What's left? I guess hospitality but I'm sure if you said to those booked we'll refund / move you most would be OK with it and realise getting the game on is the priority. What else is ACLs responsibility on a match day? Only thing that comes to mind is the electric bill. Surely we could pick that up if needed.

Think insurance is a bit of a red herring. The building itself needs to be insurance by someone, either ACL, the administrator or CCC. Event insurance isn't hard to get, in this case there would be a pre-existing agreement so all we'd need to do is phone up the insurance company and say we'll pay on a game by game basis until this is resolved.

None of this is ideal but if we have to 'make do' for a couple of games that has to be better than playing elsewhere.

Yep, it's just daft to blame this on the club. We've got a ten year lease that we've been paying in good faith.

In that period Wasps have pulled down ACL with their 'biggest club in Europe' bollocks (a.k.a reckless gamble), and a council that willingly played along with it.

I've no love for SISU, but the reason we don't know where we're playing next week is nothing to do with them this time.

However, a lot of these cunts have a lot to answer for and now they are trying to blame the club for it and whip up anger that way.

I think the insurance thing is an issue tbh.

I can imagine an underwriter asking the question:

“So, this arena. You paid £15-£20m for it, suggest that it requires £20m for repairs,

That doesn’t sound very safe.

And, you have borrowed £35m against it and want to insure it at the rebuild cost of (total guess) £100m?

Have you paid the security firm? Will it be monitored?

Is it occupied?

And you are in administration?

You’ve got no money?

And you don’t need it anymore because the Rugby Club you had had gone pop?

I see.

And if it did burn down all your problems would be solved?

Right….”

(Satire but you get the picture, insurance won’t be easy)

ACL will get some income from keeping some events going

I would assume they owe money to a lot of contractors - catering especially - who will not be convinced they are getting paid money owed so suppliers and match day providers have probably said enough is enough

How does it work in reality then? So if ACL owe money to various contractors, CCFC (SISU?) are paying those contractors to get the game on.

I understand what you’re saying, and it’s good we are getting the game on, I’m just failing to see why this falls on the club to do so?

How do you know he did?

That's what I mean, if it was an article saying "sisu are waiting for admin" from a journalist with no quotes etc you wouldn't be saying that's them communicating with fans.

Why hasn't he said why it fell through?

We wouldn't need to insure the building, that's someone else's problem. We'd need single event insurance and realistically that's just a case of speaking to the provider and ensuring cover continues on the current terms on a match by match basis.
