So they are officially dead then, whatever they do from here is nothing but a tribute act and isn't the authentic club

A day to feel vindicated

We tried warning all parties this would happen years ago but we were dismissed and looked down upon as 'Bitter football fans'

I'll be sitting with my smug face on watching what the travelling circus do next from afar

Still amazes me all the council people who wanted to do balls deep in them haven't faced any back lash.

The council should count themselves lucky at the time there was a massive apathy towards CCFC, the way we were being ran ourselves and that we were pulling in sub-10,000 gates regularly

If what happened, happened now it would never have been allowed to happen as the backlash would have been ten times what it was

He certainly seemed to romance them all at the council, either that or they are just thick and believed everything.

You only have to see Maton in how adamant he was they were the best thing since sliced bread.

Someone on twitter you probably all follow tipped Gilbert off about it

Fair play to him for that because they were trying to rush through a rescue package

Soon as Gilbert went public with it they shit themselves and changed tack

Didn't he win a tribunal against the Telegraph as well, or they settled at the last minute something like that.

Remember there was accusations flying around on twitter that the Telegraph supressed the original story which they denied. Then in some of the court papers there was a report from the council saying they'd spoken to the Telegraph and they wouldn't be running the story.

Yeah it was something like that. Can't remember the old editor's name from back in the day but the council had said they had spoken to the telegraph and they were "on board" or something.

That was about the ACL bailout rather than Wasps I think?

Looks like Holland is betting on Worcester Warriors rather than Wasps getting in the new Tier2 Championship. Oh and look who their 'Strategy Director' is...

A mate of mine has just told me apparently Worcester Warriors are the only entity from the 3 bankrupt sides to be admitted into a revamped tier 2

apparently being confirmed this week.

they’re finally dead!

'There will be no conflict of interest with Mr Holland owning both Worcester Warriors and Wasps. If Wasps are to return it will not be in a RFU league. It would therefore appear that Worcester Warriors is the only Phoenix club being considered for acceptance into the second level league.'

Looks like Wasps planning on applying to the URC for their rumoured new second division. That would mean they wouldn't have to settle rugby creditors.

Looks like another club is going to go pop

Premiership Rugby rivals and CVC to fund Newcastle Falcons loan

The top flight of English rugby union, which includes Bath and Saracens, and CVC Capital Partners are in talks to provide about £4m in funding to the league's bottom club, Sky News learns.
news.sky.com

And Worcester Warriors have appointed a head coach, so looks like their acceptance into the Championship for next season is a done deal.

Meanwhile, the latest on Wasps from their Twitter account is that they wish everyone a happy New Year.

Isn't the owner of Wasps involved in Worcester? Would anyone bet against them suddenly becoming Worcester Wasps?
