History won't look too kindly on those CCFC supporters who went to go and watch Wasps.

I doubt most people will give a fuck. I know people who did it, I don't agree with it, end of story really.
If people have fallen out with people over it then that's up to them but I don't imagine it's happened too often.

Cannot see Wasps being at the Ricoh beyond the end of next season ( May 2023)
There business model is not sustainable.

The business that owns a 250 year lease is going nowhere

Well it’s not really the point - that’s the asset value lenders will borrow against and it’s clearly worth it for that.

MGI Fiduciary a Malta based company own the lease and they are going nowhere

Cheaper than building a new stadium plus the land and infrastructure.

Genuine question here G, could the business continue to own the lease, but Wasps Rugby either disappear or disappear back down south somewhere!?? Or would that further increase liabilities, eg, another ground rental costs etc.... and hence be not realistic???

.....we know there are other aspects to the business, property, probable sale of training ground land etc...

Who’d pay for it? Also would the council grant assignment?

I agree their business model is unsustainable. However so is the business model of bucket loads of other high level sports teams (or companies if you prefer looking at them this way).
Elite sport almost has an Emperor’s New Clothes approach to financial prudence and stability. Much of the football Premiership and EFL would be screwed if normal rules applied!
Point being……in a high interest sport, which rugby union is- and gets a lot of TV revenue and column inches, would the powers that be allow them to go bust? They’ve given numerous players to the national team and won major trophies in reasonably recent times.

I know you’re not necessarily saying that they’d go bust, but would moving elsewhere really be any better for them? I can see them being artificially propped up.
Just my ignorant opinion, rather than based on too much fact!

Yes it could and I’d see no reason why Richardson - a property developer - would surrender a lease that doesn’t lose money without the rugby club especially as it has a championship football club which itself can now pay for any monthly fees for refinancing

Is there a likelyhood Richardson could go into partnership with SISU as a silent investor - when the negotiations were happening it was insinuated in the media that him and Sepalla got on

I get on quite well with the night time manager of the Shell petrol station. Just finishing off my bid for Royal Dutch Shell.
