Amen to that one, he's absolutely right. They are a very strange breed.

Yeah can't argue with that. It is entirely possible to find both sets of owners morally (and, seemingly, financially!) bankrupt!

It all makes sense now. The trust asking everyone for £1 a year subscription. Is actually to pay for wasps.

Oh they are back on the shortchange a kids charity bit again, I wonder how much London Wasps have raised through giving back part of the ticket money in an empty stand.

Yep, it's really weird.

Wasps are in the shit, the get out PR is "it woz SISU".

The only thing is, many more people see straight through it now.

The last link got pretty ugly then again this isn’t a lot better

He’s this guy from Australia

Phase 2: Operation SISU Out

Whilst it's great to be home, the question remains: do SISU/OTIUM have the appetite to invest what is required to benefit the long term future of the club? I remain unconvinced. SISU will hang around like a bad smell until someone returns them their losses. The return to the Ricoh...

Yeah, something is going on then if those dickheads are firing up.

Funnily enough, (not) Chris West is buddies with the Trust as well.

Looks like the game will be "deflect onto SISU". Half expecting some newspaper articles as well.

Hopefully that's good news for us if these two have started spouting out

So now it's sisu's fault that wasps moved halfway across the country and overleveraged themselves?

These morons will never give it up.

The salop guy isn’t even a Wasps fan. Ginetta is a crank

They fail to see the blindingly obvious that if Sisu had bought the ground at the asked for price we’d be where Derby are now

Perhaps they now know Wasps are really in the shit that they are blaming Sisu now. The overdue bond repayment is due next week, I can't see it happening myself

I enjoyed the first link you put up! Tell you what, bigfatron is worryingly close to now being a SISU fan... he's in Meatloaf territory currently.

Until sisu turn us into a mid table championship team, with an average attendance of 20k, with a contract stating the club will have a home in Coventry for the next 40 years, then they get no credit from me.

But he doesn't see the double standard of the second team needing a bailout to pay its bills without having to give up its rights to the stadium like the first club did.

If I was sisu I'd publicly be asking for £13m to help with the club recover from covid.

Makes wasps' request seem idiotic and means the WMCA are unlikely to approve both.

Would probably piss them off but it isn't a court case so they couldn't kick us out.

Might make other clubs do the same and show it for the sham it is.

I would think in some way yes but you also have to consider that the bond didn’t just pay of the historical debt in ACL, it also paid back debt to Wasps owner and was used to pay the interest on the debt on the bonds it in itself created as interest.

Glad there’s no borrowing against the arena. Ccc did well to avoid that

And the remaining 37p went towards making them the richest, most successful, and best-supported club in the world, obviously.

Chris West shouldn't be at least. Take a look at the payout he got when 'leaving'.

Coventry council top earners still get over £2m – and one got £500k golden handshake

FOURTEEN Coventry City Council unelected executives still receive six-figure remuneration - despite years of cuts, pay freezes and job losses.

These lot fought really hard to keep hold of the centre for public usage, and ultimately got shafted by their own local councillors. (Guessing they fell for the schmoozing from Eastwood etc)
Felt really sorry for them to be honest.
But once a Wasps director magically appears on the board of the selling organisation and then starts "engaging" with the local council... we know what will happen!!

Wishful thinking that. What we reckon? They’re busting ACL and selling the lease unecumbered to SISU?

They didn’t want sisu to borrow money against the arena so sold it to wasps who wouldn’t do that sort of thing

Memory is getting fuzzy. But when CCC "bailed out" ACL(2003??) they took 50% of the shares? The value of that bail out?
We didn't get something for nothing. Look at the grief that caused further down the line

CCFC Holdings share in ACL was sold to the Higgs Charity as collateral for paying off some debt CCFC H owed to Higgs et al.

yes, correct. RJC is Ron Collins, and Al is his offspring. Huge platefuls of chips, both of them.

I assume Bobby Bridge has written a piece on the bail out begging by now?

Last I saw he had quote tweeted the BBC News report saying he'd not had chance to investigate & comment due to holiday etc. but now looks like he's subsequently deleted that tweet too?

He's still writing about Wasps too, just no mention of any of the financial issues... Strange. Almost like it's being deliberately avoided...
