The attendance at Adams Park was 8.5K in 2009, dropping to 5.8K for the 2014 season. Over a 32% drop.

I will need to trawl the internet. Usually a good port of call to read about fans of London Wasps complaining about their move to Coventry and how they couldn't attend any longer. You should try it sometime.

You are right. Lots moaned. And lots applauded it. Many were just happy that Richardson had stepped in whether that happiness continues remains to be seen.

Fair play to you Dubai Dodger for coming on here and trying to put over your point of view, but you can see by the reaction on here on FB and on CCFC matchdays and in local pubs that Wasps are not well thought of and not wanted.

I’m not expecting anyone to share my views or win anyone over to love Wasps …. but I do actually share and respect many of the views posted civilly on here. I fully get that many of the views here are one eyed that’s natural but sometimes and on some aspects of this mess there is an alternative way of looking at things. Whether we agree or not it’s still possible to have a decent civil chat about it ! I’ve been perfectly respectful (I think)

In my guise as Fumigator there were for the most part people willing to engage and even taking the tongue in cheek username well. Only fair to return the favour.
What needs remembering here is CCFC has worked with a handicap for decades now and the stadium is a large factor in that. So with years of getting the local press and council ‘up Wasps’ rectum’ as G puts it while denigrating the football club, any potential goodwill was lost there and then.
I get the history of CCFC and many problems (I don’t know everything) and fully understand it runs deeper than Wasps arriving …. So I fully appreciate the negative attitude towards me posting…. That said I’ve got thick skin.
I don’t care about wasps supporters posting on here if it’s wasps related stuff - the stadium is a white elephant which a sports club can’t fund in reality - the loan is always the albatross round the neck.
Wasps will carry on and the football club should I think try and secure a sub lease of the same duration and then it’s secure. I think rugby itself will implode in the next decade or so in general and I suspect the head lease will be transferred well before then

I don’t fully understand the share purchase scheme but the whole thing looks to be on pretty rocky ground
Salary caps are tightening and clubs are in big financial trouble. None of it makes sense - European games are poorly supported and wasps may play in South Africa in the sub tier - it’s all vanity and ready to fall apart
It's not got the appeal and money that football has though which I think they thought was going to happen when they moved to Coventry, it seems to be getting less popularAgree there are clubs on rocky ground financially but really don’t think the game will disappear. It’s not the first time Wasps have been in the 2nd tier of Europe, it wil probably do some good for a season. It’s not the disaster that you guys talk it as.
