Could be that the people doing the work on the pitch want it in Euros too?

Yeah I guess so. For simplicity though as both teams are based in the UK, you'd think that if Wasps had a quote in euros, they'd do the conversion and send CCFC 50% of the bill in £s.

You'd think that Wasps would be asking for their money back from them to be fair and then reinvesting that in repairs, rather than asking us for cash. There must be some sort of international 'Trades Description Act'!

To ensure the new pitch is kept in premium condition, the installation company will also be appointed as the maintenance contractor using their turf specialists.

You would think they wouldn't be paying anybody for it and it would be covered anyway.

Indeed, its about as relevant as your post regarding the Sixfields pitch.

Of course it's rellevant! posters on here are not happy about Wasps charging CCFC for the pitch, yet SISU offered and paid for a new pitch at Sixfields. Hardly anyone moaned about the Sixfields "Offer and payment" but are "Up in arms" about Wasps asking them to do it!!! Makes me laugh with the "Same horse different Jockey" situation.

different agreements with the owners? Paying for a pitch to be relayed at Northampton was part of the agreemenet for out Tenancy so we need to find out what the agreement was with the Ricoh return

Doesn't it all boil down to the same thing?..... CCFC paying for the pitch! wether "Offering" or "Being charged"

Ah, so CCFC should pay for every page forever going forward whether they are contractually obliged to or not?

Are you trying to say that CCFC should re-lay the pitch?

How much damage do you think the fans did against Wycombe compared to how it already was?

I wish they owned the football club as well

Granted wasps have been better at it up to now, but let's see what happens of the losses keep increasing and they struggle to make the bond payments.

From my belief, CCFC were NOT contractually bound to pay for Sixfields pitch, They offered and paid for it.(Fuck all said about this by posters on here) but woe betide paying for it by being charged..... And NO! I don't think CCFC should be "Charged"...... You all miss the point by a million miles. Fisher and SISU always "Find money" when it suits their POV but "Cry destitution" when it doesn't!

I'm not missing the point.

Do you think they paid for a pitch out of the kindness of their heart for Northampton?

Yea let's see what happens, you just keep your fingers crossed ;-) and I'll keep my fingers crossed that SISU disappear sooner rather than later.

Are you saying anything in the article is untrue then? Which bit have you got evidence to challenge?

It's easy to hide anonymously behind a keyboard and whine and piss and spread bullshit about actual, real people. Reid and Gilbert publish under their own names, and are exposed to the full force of the law if they lie. You hide here, pop up when there's anything negative anbout Wasps, and chuck around insinuations that you've got no evidence to support.

What's your agenda, eh?

Maybe the world's richest rugby club ( none of it their own) should stop buying any world class player who becomes available and produce a surface which is acceptable for professional sport.
I stick by my prediction that within 2 years they will be desperate for a stadium share.
They can also fuck off if they expect ccfc to pay for the cabbage patch they currently offer.

Your talking as if CCFC can do what they want and Wasps will have to put up with it.
We are heading towards extinction and we quickly need to build a relationship with Wasps before it's too late.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of it, the timing is good for Tim. Get everyone angry about wasps before his meeting with the trust.... let's hope it doesn't detract from the real questions that need answering.

Wonder what the next exclusive from Les will be?

If you won't tell me then you are also hiding anonymously behind a keyboard, spouting your bullshit and having a go at others who just happen to have different opinions to yourself.

As for Les Reid's piece in the Coventry Observer. Do you really believe everything written in papers? Really???? Well let me tell you Freddie Starr doesn't eat hamsters.

So you can confirm it isn't true?

I think people will take everything with a pinch of salt won't they? Some parts seem a bit too specific to be made up, and it leaves him wide open for being sued if it isn't true with something solid behind it.

Well to be honest I can't as I don't know Freddie Starr although I believe he lives fairly locally.
But I really doubt he would do something so gross.

You and italia are a pair of absolute clowns.

Les Reid might not be to everybody's taste, but he isn't stupid enough to commit libel, he's named the ACL director in the piece but hasn't named a source from CCFC.

Oh you naive fool & you have the audacity to call me a clown.

Read the piece objectively without any sky blue spectacles on, look at the way it's phrased and the use of language & then tell me it's just a factual story without an agenda. He's clearly trying to muddy the water and stir up a storm with probably very little to go on. I'll wait for the story to come out from a source I can believe.

He can't commit libel as he hasn't actually given the facts.
Everything is through a third party that are not mentioned. More than likely a CCFC source.
Not saying it's not true but I personally would like some actual facts before I take an issue with it.
Who knows that ACL asked for it and CCFC agreed with it because it was in the agreement.
At some point Sisu/CCFC/us will need to agree a deal with Wasps.

People are only taking the actual points and commenting on them from what I can see. Most just skip the bits where it says about wasps came in and took over the ricoh etc etc.

What you mean is, you will wait for wasps to make a statement not really acknowledging it but saying "sisus fault" and then go by that?

It's no coincidence it is you and Italia to save the day though is it? The same pair who have gobbled up the wasps bullshit time and time again.

don't think that is the point, the point is the pitch was a fucking disgrace prior to the Wycombe game and a few hundred celebrating supporters in Adidas Hamburgs weren't responsible for the damage.

You mean you didn't put the puma kings on at the end especially?

The fact they had been doing press releases about how they are fixing it shows they know it was shit before.

If it was a perfect playing surface before then after the celebrations it was a bog then I'd understand

Out of interest, did they invoice the gaming festival when their stuff did actually ruin the pitch?

I bet all that happened is CCFC were asked to contribute to the repair bills, as you say, they knew it was not in the best of condition before the WW cup game.

What Les has done is bent the truth a little to feed his own agenda & whip up a storm in a tea cup.

As for the gaming festival, that's a stupid comment, that happened before Wasps took charge of ACL when the pitch wasn't being used by either Wasps or CCFC.

If its not true why are Wasps / ACL refusing to comment? Why would they not just say the story is incorrect we haven't tried to get any money off CCFC for pitch repairs.

And if we're talking about agenda's how about the Telegraphs headline yesterday "Coventry City owners Sisu "have blood on their hands"", read the actual quote and it was “The blood is on the hands of the Higgs Trust, the council and Sisu who have done their best"

But why wouldn't they be asked? Isn't that what a neutral reporter does.

Of course it wouldn't suit Les' agenda to say Coventry City refused to comment would it.
