Sounds like we were robbed of a penalty today. Those there - what did you see?

Hardly matters when you win 1 nil

Everton on the other hand had plenty to moan about on the penno front

My closest friend who was in the best position to judge was face down in the mud.

Meanwhile I was sorting out a boot lace.

The whole terminology has changed

The pundits say "He's entitled to go down" ,, he should have gone to ground because he brushed him with slight contact.

It's only a penno in my book if you are physically unbalanced off the ball or totally tripped ..if someone taps you on the shoulder and you fall over ..you should be sent off..it's become bollox...not so much in our league but the Prem is laughable at the moment..time this shit was sorted out .

Right in front of us, nailed on. Ref bottled it cause he would have had to send their player off. Also bottled giving another player of theirs a second yellow for a pull back, gave the free kick and a talking to. The ref had a poor game, oddly booked of theirs for wasting time after only 15 minutes.

It was a blatant trip and defo peno but as JC had tapped the ball too hard the keeper was favourite to get there first. It would not therefore have been a goal scoring opp and not a red card. The ref just got it wrong. 2-0 would have eased my blood pressure. Was sitting in block B row E so had a very good view!

Absolute definite pen. Can only assume ref (who had clear sight from about 15 yards away) didn't give as ball was running away from Wilson. This may have meant not red card but didn't change the fact both legs taken away from under him and nowhere near the ball. Poor decision which could have cost us dear. Wilson got very little protection all game.

I was in Block towards the top, CW was just about to round him and then he had his feet taken. A clear penalty! Considering the penalties given in a lot of the prem games, it makes it look even more of a poor ref decision. Anyhow, we won, so we can live with it.

Was a definite pen. We were in row G behind the goal. The ball was running away from him, and, as said above, it therefore wasn't a goalscoring opportunity - but there was definite contact, and he was miles from the ball.

my mate and I were right in front of it and gave a huge appeal only to turn round to one another and say never a penalty! CW had let the ball run away from him and lost his footing. there was contact but the fact he didnt go chasing after the ref has quite a big say and the ref was hardly surrounded by players.

a friend of mine was there & reflected by saying,
'i've seen 80% of challenges like that given'
still, the ref is always right ?

I don't see how this can even be debated. The ball only gets away from him because he is being forced away from the ball. Whether the ball has run away or not the player has not gone for the ball at all. Poor decision. Would be a lot more annoying had they not gifted us a goal earlier.
