Fans bayed for his blood and they got their wish. However, it seems that the tree backroom boys were just as poor. OK, so Shaw has only been here since July but Carsley has been here for a year and Oggy for a few failed managerial recruits. It's can't all be down to the manager or the owners. I think we need to get rid of these three too.

I know we're not going to, but I think it's a costly error on the club's part.

I would keep Carsley and tell him to put his boots on. Otherwise I would boot out most the squad and play the youth team players, as at leats they have a winning mentality.

No. Go back and look at my posts before last season ended. The club needs gutting. It's rotten to the core. The right philosophy isn't there, the mentality is gone, the trainers are grade A crap, and the owners are useless.

There's nothing to suggest that it would've gone any better with Thorn still at the helm Torch. Sacking him was the correct decision but doing it with no successor in place and then dawdling about it for 3 weeks is the real mistake.

Yes they should all go. I like Shaw but tonight his interview was poor. As a caretaker manager he is in prime position for the job but seemed to shirk responsibility. All of them seem to lack authority and seem to adopt the same approach as Thorn. The players look like they treat training as a holiday camp.

So sadly they need to all be removed and we need to start all over again.

Shaw was clearly holding Thorn back from achieving his full potential

I'm not disagreeing. Thorn had to go. I just think Oggy, Shaw and Carsley should have followed him out of the door.

We've got rid of Managers galore, then players, then Harrison, then Thorn, then more players out while some came in and.....what's changed? If anything, were getting worse!

I'm starting to fear that its going to take a hell of a lot more then another change in Manager to turn things around. Experienced Managers with experience of getting teams promoted come here and then end up working for SSN 18 months later.

There's a cancer at the heart of this club, its been there for at least 10 years now. Until the root of that is found and cut out...

To be fair-Oggy is the goalkeeping coach, and Carsley did a fantastic job with the academy side last year. Carsley might benefit from being put back down to that position, whilst I don't know how the GK coach can be held to account for this form. Shaw's position however should be under intense scrutiny at the moment.

Oggy is goalkeeping coach and Murphy is making a shedload of mistakes. I think the club needs a clean sweep. Carsley might have done OK with the youth but it seems the senior squad don't respond to either him, Shaw or Oggy. Get rid of them all, I say.

I doubt we could afford to pay them all off.

That is the crux of it and a huge mistake, I reckon. Fisher and Waggy should have the balls (and the budget) to hire a whole new backroom team.

He should have gone at the end of last season. It was madness to allow Thorn to give his old mucker a job and then fire him, now we are stuck with Shaw who seems just as bad.

I pointed out on the Oggy Birthday thread that he was a miserable sod, and I felt he couldn't motivate, also he is the ONLY ever present in years and years of failure, get rid., fuck in he'll if I had his job I would be the happiest man alive.

With a wage bill of £4 million and £250k being lost a month (in Fishy's words), I don't know how much could be left in the tank to fund that. I'd strongly disagree with sacking Carsley, at any rate.

Taking this long to appoint a successor has been utterly disastrous for the morale and unity of the team.

Fisher and waggott need to recognise and acknowledge this. They took the brave and correct decision to sack thorn, but allowing this many games to go by with the club in limbo has been a dreadful senior management decision

yes, my opinion, is that the cancer at the club is evident,
which is hugely exacerbated by the mere presence of our owners,
they ( & their spokespersons), have zero interest in YOU SKY BLUE FANS,
their primary interest is THEMSELVES

What are they getting out of it then?

To say get rid of Carsley is IMO madness.
He is just starting out in coaching and had good reviews last year with the youth team.
This is his first season around the first team, he isn't to blame for where we are now.

a good wage, & adhering to the rules of certain debentures,
plus kudos for the way in which they have curbed the spending on wages,
statistics, in their CV eyes
