The hyperbole over it was always ridiculous. Our recruitment generally has been very, very good.
I think we were lacking in a couple of areas, notably some experience & another midfielder, which we have hopefully solved now. You could argue we'd still ideally add another 1 or 2 but for Top 6 it's probably good enough now.

Well im not entirely sure how luck has played any part in it , frank played 5 at Everton before when they had issues , he could have played sakamoto and asante wide and kept with a 4 but he chose to play the wingbacks , not just that but the players look a level ahead of where they've previously been at , they're fitter amd work harder .haven‘t said we don’t ?

It's not luck to lose 3 of your big performers and I'd argue we'd be even better with them In the team

Have we stumbled on it though ? The injuries obviously had an influence but FL and the coaching staff were responsible for switching things up and adopting different tactics. But the manager wasn't........I'd agree with what you're saying if we were scraping games .. but really we are largely beating teams with relative ease
